I enjoyed it, but I enjoyed it as a musical sandbox more than I did as a game. The whole entertainment of the game was making something yourself, and then seeing how it reacted inside the levels was an afterthought. Because of this I felt that being able to make my song longer was more of a reward, rather than a difficulty enhancer.
Because of this, I feel you are handling a very small target audience with this, and don't really see how it would be enjoyable to people without any knowledge of music. Especially if they just mash the random button.
Good concept, though a little restricted. The actual gameplay isn't as fun as the composing, meaning many people without an interest in music will likely feel closed off.
My advice to anybody playing this game is to avoid the random button at all costs. Even if you suck at music just play around and try to make something that sounds good. Beating the levels should come pretty easily as you have fun with the piano itself.
Very nicely made, and started off as quite a nice puzzle platformer. I do have to agree that later stages started outright losing the puzzle aspect, though. Especially level 25. There is nothing even relating to a puzzle, it's just jump timing.
Still very well executed, I just can't help but feel it could have been a bit... more.
My Achievement addict thing glitched and wont go past 180. I did beat the game though. =/
Pretty good job, it's addicting and clever, though my only gripe is that some of the achievements don't require logic so much as hitting everything.
It was good up until the final battle, particularly the part after the insult.
Please remember that mashing space for fifteen minutes at a time as fast as you can is not fun.
I do not think I have ever been disappointed by a nerdook game. Yet another great job, the voice really makes the game feel unique, and I have not had any trouble with clicking aim. I don't think the game is the best you have done, but it is still a very fun and unique addition.
Very good game. The artstyle was visually pleasing and the characters had actual personalities, which is something you don't see as often as I'd like in flash games. There are no real gripes to be had, but if I had to be picky I would say that some people probably would like the ability to go back a monster stage, in case they get to rank five and don't like their monster. The hitbox seems larger than the player, which can throw you off at times.
Not really a gripe, but on Niraine's mugshot (The art that appears when she's talking), you can actually see where her neck art ends and a hole appears between her neck and shirt that you can see through. You cannot unsee it once you see it.
Overall, very well done.
You had a pretty neat and original idea when you came up with this game, and I think you put the overall gameplay functions together well, it's just missing things to keep it interesting for long periods of time. It could also use polish because most kongregators are completely spoiled. If you keep working on games and get really really good at them, make sure that you remake this game.
The game honestly isn't as bad as some of you are saying. I think that the choice of title and setting might have caused some of you to expect vastly different gameplay. It's not the best game ever, but it's decent and obviously had some work put into it.
This game was nice, it wasn't as hard as other games of its type, but it is a good game if you simply want to relax and think a little. The entire game is well executed. It doesn't tell you everything, like a previous comment says, but the things it doesn't tell you are so common sense that it doesn't make the game impossible. My only complaint was the fact that occasionally it would glitch, either the power source failed to emit any power, or items that shouldn't have even been on the level were slapped in it randomly. Refreshing got rid of these problems however, so it is nothing but a minor annoyance.
