Can't really play it well, I managed to play it once with everything working correctly until day 38, when suddenly my scrap count became "151" out of a max of 150, and didn't let me build anything, had to restart. Now everytime I try to start a new game the map appears with all the areas constantly changing difficulties and glitching. Kinda awkward.
"Wow. If you are going to make a metroid rip-off, at least try to do a good job of it. The controls are sticky, the game lags and skips, you are always landing right on enemies when you fall off a ledge with NO way to see them, and I can find absolutely no way to get anywhere. I have explored everywhere I can, and everywhere that is left has doors that cannot be opened with my peashooter. Please dont disrespect metroid with this crap."
They were not sticky for me, neither laggy, or having skips, I did not suffer so much from falling of ledges into enemies because I tended to go down walls stuck to the walls. The rest of the comment is more you blatantly insulting the game than anything else. I am missing the "constructive criticism" part there.
Wow, i thought people where exaggerating at the game being a copy from icy gifts (not exactly weird for everyone to scream copy whenever a game is mildly resembling other games) but this is literally icy gifts with a different skin for the gifts... Hell not even the decency to change the power ups images.
Funky, the weapon in question is the gravity device you use througout the entire game, it was supposed to help you do what you where doing during the game (jumping, etc... scouting), rather than being used as a weapon, since they turned it into a weapon, the doctor out of repent killed himself.
@Scoogger44, more than likely, more than likely (its quite simple, really). The game has some really weird controls though, takes quite some effort to get stuff made.
@does anybody have a decent tactic for beating the game on "harder" difficulty? every time i try all my people keep dying from zombie attacks when the danger is only 6% or less. Pray in whatever you believe, and go for as many happyness boosting stuff you can find while pumping your unit count as high as posible, also, don't ever starve yourself, the game on harder and nightmare has a tendency to start causing bad crops the second it sees you have a -X food per turn
The game is pretty fun, but i am putting a 4/5, even if the idea itself is entertaining and the music is quite nice, the simple fact i had the need of throwing my screen half the time because the freaking block wouldn't move from a tiny little detail blocking him just leached way to much of the fun from it.
This is awefully sad, they made a horrible game as advertisement for a pretty awesome game, hell deBlob is incredibly fun, deBlob 2 hopefully is even better.
Crappy game gives 0 to no justice to the original title.
"Sucks that this site sold out. I remember when they featured good games..."
I don't see the problem, honestly, they keep games free, they give good indie developers a chance, and they every once in a while feature some horrible game for some company with retarded amounts of $ and 0 creativity. In all and all you aren't exactly forced to play the game...
@realsmart987, The game has no multiplayer, the chat is completly optional, and the more people that play the game the more the developer gets payed. Why the hell would anyone not want badges? Even if its just the guy playing "just for the badges", the developer still wins. + The game is awesome enough for people to still play it, even without badges.
@ spankz "lost interest in the game after grinding tentacles for half an hour yawnz!"
So, my guess is you are dimwitted enough to not notice the giant "Put a bomb here" sign, right?
I am giving the game a 3/5, i would have given it a 5/5 if it wasnt because there is NO tutorial, at first it was pretty easy, until i hit level 6, when i had to pop out the walkthrough and notice that once you cut the supply lines, the little guys making the line go into the target spore (depending on where you cut the line some will go to the target some will go back to your base), ITS NOT INTUITIVE, never would i guess that cutting the line actually did that.
Level 19 is the hardest, not imposible though the whole idea of the map is to get atleast one of your guys to predator while keeping the other 2 places on the sides.
this is posible simply because for the oponents to reach your guys they need to go down from an ant to a spore, giving you the chance to outgrow them. The point in this map is not to take theyre spawn points, its to simply make your places reach higher levels before them, after you achieve that killing them isnt as hard as it looks.
05at1 if you are going at 14 meters per hour, you are a turtle, there's a pretty big difference between meters and miles you see...
Also asddsaasd271, it probably was so the speed number wouldnt be a gigantic number after a few seconds, and the distance run number was something always changing (if you went for miles at 14 miles per hour it would be more than a couple minutes before it hits the 1)
Once you get the hang of it the game is pretty retarded (not even once did i ever need to use anything other than the shovel guys and the angry farmers + angry mob). Just go for the Salvage Yards as fast as you can (first thing you will buy will be a Salvage yard, not shovel people, not a new house) after that just make enough shovel guys to survive and keep making salvage yards, after you hit the 5th one you probably can call your first mob, buy the farm and start spamming the angry farmers and you pretty much win after that.
The last level is forcing it on the juggling, seriously, there is really no other way to win it. Also, is it weird if i found all the hard levels easier than the easy/medium levels?
