you are doing it wrong. U hold when moving between targets and release once u reach the target. then hold the button while moving to the next
@ Deanomyite. I'm sure your question has been explained before. The 3x Multiplier from kreds are not compounded, therefore when you purchased your second 3x, you get a total of 6x (3+3), and not 9x (3x3). This works differently from achievements whereby they compound.
To take your example, your based is 33 duodecillion and with the first kred 3x purchase, you would be getting 100 duodecillion. With the 2nd 3x kred purchase, you would be getting 33 x 6 = 200 duodecillion, Hence your investments doubled and not tripled.

I got past lvl 5 hard with a close to max upgrade main gun and repair bay. and I have about 6-7 basic laser turrets, dont place these turrets too forward. and dont waste money on fighters until you kill the snake thing on level 5.
the basic idea is to rely on your main gun. the enemies usually will fly towards your fighter. so with less fighters, they fly directly towards you, which makes them much easier to hit with your main gun.

Wumtog lvl 9: money towers (kills) at the bottom U curve and between the round about and the road on the right (change them to poison and money steal later in the game), instant deaths and life steal at the starting round about. place level 5 thunder and lvl 6 winds and water at strategic locations and splash slow before every set. and a bunch of teleports near the end between the 2 roads. optional confuses and stun amount the sets. this is how i did it.
