I absolutely loved the difficulty of the final boss, it forced a lot of thinking to solve it with my current levels. The only problem was that the difficulty curve from moments before the final boss was pretty much a straight line up.
The thing about archers that people tend to forget is that they almost never die in battle. Damage-wise they also pierce through several units. This means that archers pretty much have the best cost-benefit out of all the units because they generally do not eat into your reinforcements. The best part is that the general doesn't cost any reinforcements to respawn, so it doesn't really hurt to let him die for the sake of the archers.
Games are really short and sweet. They don't drag on unnecessarily, and are simple to complete. Since the AI is often on par or even above me and cloud numbers do cap, there's never a time where the game becomes tedious, as I'm almost always actively strategising until the last few moments, where I feel I deserve to squash everything to bits mindlessly. There really has to be a way to click-group, though, like clicking cloud A and B to group only them even though cloud C is in the middle. Once that's done, a level pack would be awesome :)
I liked the concept but the execution wasn't very good. Strict timing based on guesses is not very fun in a physics puzzle. The levels you made that weren't based on timing were extremely easy, some simply needed a single click, and it was pretty obvious.
It's fun but I think you got too carried away with allowing the freedom to move all over the screen with no penalty. As ravewarheit said, it was really mindless at the end. It think part of it could be attributed to the far too frequent direct shots and *especially* the homing insects. I know they're misdirected but combined with the direct shots they really force me to move far too much every time I see them come out. But I did find it rather entertaining so 4/5 to you.
Gosh the detail put into this is amazing. The story is absolutely wonderful too. I can't stop discovering random things, like that tiny little eyeball at the side of the forest that makes squicky sounds or whatever. I really thank you for this game ^^
Short and sweet. I liked the art style and the story was great and relaxing to play through. Gameplay-wise I think your puzzles were pretty logical and weren't frustrating at all as is common with poorly done games in this genre. 5/5
The game was good in its own right. I liked the battle system, and the skills were quite interesting to boot. My only problem with the game is that the Archer is far too specialised in killing one unit. I only took one hit on the final boss, because it was the final shot. On the other hand, most of the ambushes/traps I got massacred by because of crappy AOE. Still, I guess it's difficult to balance an archer.
Epic Mode: OH YES, I FINALLY KILLED LAN- Oh wait there's a nuke. Everyone, defend! ... What's that 0 supposed to mean? Nevermind, KILL IT WITH LEGEND AND JUDGMENT! Haha, almost dead. Wait a minute. WHY ARE YOU LAUNCHING. AAAHHHHH.
