Altogether too easy; you're forced to grind the skirmishes for Achievement bonuses, which help you get far in the extremely challenging endless mode. Balance is fairly off center, with mines being relatively useless. The Greenjacket unit needs to be more expensive. Cannons should increase in range with upgrades, not just fire rate. (Although that does increase their use exponentially) Units could 'rank up' after a certain number of kills; always a nice feature in a game of this sort. Overall, a fabulous effort; a sequel is eagerly anticipated! (Also, the most fun achievement was 'Speed Run'- difficult, but not impossibly annoying)
Erm... I beat every dungeon, had 15000+ gold, maxed every combat-oriented skill, and finished with no stress...
I got Teir 12. O_o
On another try, when I wasn't even TRYING and did nothing but work at church and beg and never ENTERED a dungeon, I got Tier TWO.
Something is wrong.
Excellent game- my only difficulty with it is that certain character types are impossible. My first person was a devout warrior who beat everything into dust. Next, I tried a magic cleric- when I found it impossible to be religious and have a high Magic Attack. Also, the limited enemies and weak combat system started to drag on my patience. I've gotten all the achievements, but the game isn't as satisfying as it could be. Four of Five.
I'm not 'bitching'. I'm offering constructive criticism, which is the entire POINT of comments. What if your game had a grievous flaw? Would you want no one to point it out? I was suggesting to Urbz that melee could be more balanced for future games or as an update. I love this game as a whole, and play it every day. Thus, I am not 'bitching'... heh... you were 'bitching about bitching', it would seem...
Erm... this is a great game, and such, but I've found a problem that kills the fun, very often...
Meleeing is broken. If my soldier gets into a melee fight, I'm never seeing him again. A melee fight takes about three minutes or longer, and during that time my soldier can do NOTHING. Can we please disable melee? I'd rather that soldier DIE, very often, then 'melee fight'. It's a broken system that benefits the player none.
he guns really need to be fine tuned, I had the colt by the time I was out of home sweet home and that's all I ever used. The shotgun and chainsaw are worthless, which is pretty counter-intuitive for a zombie game. Just set 2 tables up next to each other horizontally, put a merc on follow, and jump up on them and kill zombies as they struggle to kill your mighty tables. I didn't get hit once until I tried using the chainsaw and died in about 1/2 a second.
This game is only about dodging yellow dots. That's the single thing this game asks you to do. Honestly, I could have coded a game where you dodge yellow dots. There is no strategy. Get the homing missiles, click the mouse, hold it off the screen and then all you do is dodge the dots. Horrible concept, horrible game, and Greg- you actually ruined my holiday weekend.
Horrid game. It disgusts me. Those who made it can burn. It's extremely stereotypical and I've seen at least five games exactly like it before. Thou who hast created it shalt be hopefully banished from the production of games.
