I really like the idea here and I enjoyed the short story of this game. I do really wish there was a lot more to it though and as other people have said, the acceptable syntax could have been a lot more forgiving.
It's jarring when you have to play SyntaxQuest(tm) in these types of games, but I know it must be difficult to predict anything people could possibly type.
Aggh.. this game is so simple and so frustrating. Any sort of horizontal motion seems to render your one action useless. I swear the AI has some sort of rotation control too..
Man.. I want to like this game but the controls for the training are just SO bad. Yes Sims, it is your game. When sticking keys doesn't happen in any other game, that means it's not the browser's fault.
Otherwise though, it's a fun little training game. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for this enjoyable flash game! I look forward to playing more of the chapters.
Is there any way to make the menus work the same way they did in Chapter 1? It was simple and straightforward to use the mouse for menus and Z/X/WASD for movement and global interaction.
Now I find myself having to go back and forth between the mouse and the Z/X/WASD keys just when in the menus to move the cursor around, and the cursor is always an open hand instead of a pointer. Seems a lot more confusing now.
I think the accuracy percentages need to be looked at. Normal accuracy (95%) misses a lot more than 1 time in 20. When you get blinded by 20, down to 75% accuracy.. it seems more like 40% chance to hit. Of course... trying to judge patterns just by looking is tough for a human so.. I dunno. :P
Gah.. level 70 is mean.
Thanks for the awesome game! I loved that I kept finding new powerups for as long as I played, though I didn't quite understand them all.
Cute game, I like it. I can sympathize with the pizza boy.
Honestly though, do people really tell you how long to have their pizza baked and how it should be cut? I didn't even know that was an option when ordering a pizza. :P
If you're having the "invisible" barrier problem, turn the gamma on your display up in your video card settings. Or use your monitor settings to raise brightness/contrast way up. Those invisible sections are actually dark grey, but are hard to see on some monitors.
Have you tried survival mode? I think 100 million points would indeed be possible if you wanted to play it for a few weeks without stopping.
Survival mode is too easy. I finally stopped with plenty of lives and 33000 points because I ran out of time.
Perhaps if when you died in survival you started over on the wave you were on, rather than wave 1. Or if you got more points for higher waves.
Lol. Search up "Fox Suit", some things come up.
