Beat it in under an hour. The Shield is God-like when used right and makes this a snap of a game. Ain't gonna get too critical though.
Gameplay: 4 / 5
Sound and Graphics: 3 / 5
Storyline: 4 / 5
Overall, 3.5 out of 5. Should be a sequel.
WORST GAME I HAVE PLAYED YET! Seriously... I am all for random nature in games. Sometimes it even makes them great...
But when you use a weapon with 1 0 slot, and you happen to miss 8 attacks in a row against a goblin, just to get yourself killed from near ull life, that is just insanely rediculous.
I rarely give games bad ratings... The concept is good and very much on the right track for a rouge-like game. But straight up, the overall gameplay as a whole being solely dependent on luck makes the game pointless as just one bad fight ruins all you pushed for.
Implement something other then JUST chance, and you would have a good game going.
When you reach a certain job, say Barista for example, you don't get the achievement till the next job up... It says "Reach Barista" not "Pass Barista"... Shouldn't those job achievements be achieved WHEN you reach the job rank and not after you pass to the next one?? Just a minor detail I noticed as an issue.
The SAS dollars items are actually worth getting. They cost a ton after the initial purchase, but OMG, if you get even one of those RA Cannons or Gigashot Cannons, enemies get demolished. And the electric laser wire... lay down a nice layer on narrow paths and watch runners/swarmers and any other minor zombie drop. The game give you more then an ample share if you play through the difficulty in order (normal hard ect.) One play through and I am only missing the Special Cannons top upgrade. Those Titanium barricades too... Man even from bloaters those things can take a pounding.
All and all, the game balance is perfect. One of the best flash TD game.
Also, I know this is technically an abandoned project, but I would definitely recommend a second be thrown together at some place in time.
Multiple Fixes IMO anyways.
1. Archers too weak. Stone golems can take out a woodsman in a couple shots, while archers take at least 5 hits to bring down a grunt or goblin. Archer DMG even with x2 attack is only 2. Shouldn't archers be stronger then woodsman? Say like 4 or 6 with double attack.
Enemy Golems still OP. I have double all stats for knights and it still takes 3 (almost 4) knights to bring down a single golem. In just the second area, I am deadlocked due to their overall strength, no matter what I do. It is a never ending stalemate even with a full army of knights.
Just my current observations thus far.
Best Idle Game Yet. Smooth yet challenging GP during the cash gaps, unique skill style system and a manageable soft reset (easier compared to other games.)
More improvements would only further this game, so long as current features were the same and unaffected by updates 5/5.
Beat it with everything I used level 4 or under(main weapons max) in just 7 days(levels). It is a good game, and has so much more potential for a shooter upgrade. If you make a second one, install graphic quality so people don't lag soooo much. Easy. A difficulty setting would be nice. Other then that though, I liked it. 4/5
Personally, I feel this is the best version of Warlords released. It has the same classic feel of gameplay with a more modern LARGE SCALE battle. It has its flaws, but compared to most tactic warfare games I've seen, there are very few errors or bugs. Well maintained.
Warlords was seemingly going down hill and even I was getting bored. This one re-sparked my interest in the series and certainly with this engine operating the game, hope to see more down the line. For the first time since the original Warlords game, I gotta give it a 5 out 5. Great job.
For a flash based M&M game, it is pretty good... For many who struggled with gold, I found that easy if you followed the quest line, the only enemy I struggled a bit with were the ghosts, but if you play your cards right and cast spell at good times, then really the game leaves you with more then enough gold, pending you keep some instead of increasing leadership.
Oh and as for the grinding portion that many seem to have an issue with, I have played many TD games that require far more grinding to progress in the game then this one. It is all about deck customazation and multi management then it is rinsing and repeating.
One of the best tower defence games I have ever played... Im not big on comments but there is little to nothing I can critique on in this game thus far and I just hit lvl 13. The story is interesting, multiple training difficulties offer challenges and the game difficult progresses extremely well with the randomized card drops. Coins are a little tough to get but after completing 3 of 4 waves on hard you walk away with at least 500-700 per round (with clearing hard giving you about 1K). The ability to power up cards through two methods makes managing your strength significantly easier then most games... Hands down, one of the best games on Kongregate currently. 5/5 Devs. Great job.
I found for a P&C it wasn't too bad... Had a sense of the unusual realities some do encounter but at time seemed a little bit far fatched... Interesting, but after 5 bad endings one would expect the easter egg to be more... Well positive then it was. It brings a little joy, but... Not entirely worth earning all 5 endings. 3.5/5 In my opinion.
Thanks for leaving a comment. Yes ... I worry if the games emulate real life that they will be too boring (because life is fairly boring / mundane), but I try to find something interesting by writing about the ordinary and pushing it. I've been thinking about how to work around this because it has been a common criticism.
Is there something specific you have to do to activate offline mode? I have not collected any income the last 3 times I have gone offline though I hear people saying it should... I am a little confused.
Try down an export / hard reset / re-import. It should solve the issue - we've got offline mode fixed, but sometimes the game needs to be refreshed like this in order to fix the issue.
There is no chance, only your skill with reaction time...
