Oh, ok. A reset button that you can press whenever you want would be quite exploitable. Resetting the points on every jump would be a better option.

What I mean to suggest is when you do a jump I think whatever has happened in the market or gambling should stay the same, and progress there, or investments should not be wiped clean. Would give a nice start to the next run.
