several major flaws. #1. Some way to end a battle instantly, many times you know you're in a lost cause but you are forced to watch round after round of Amplify, Heal, Thorn, Speed, Evade, Crit, Blah, Blah, Blah, and finally they kill you so you can restart and do it all over again.
#2. More health does not mean more challenge. once you have the pattern down for defeating a boss, giving him 100k hp doesn't make the victory feel any more exciting it just makes it take longer.
#3 Gear does not scale as high as it needs to in order to keep up with end game content. There was one battle where I was against a team of 2 pirates, a mage, and a bard. Bard would almost always speed some one which pretty much ended the fight before it began and even when he didn't speed buff the two pirates or mage would manage to kill one of my team before I'd even get a single turn.
Hi Sadtroll, thanks a lot for the feedback! dont forget you can change the dificulty of the game at any point of the game, so if you play in casual difficulty for instance you will kill the boss really fast. however he will do less damage, if you want to make it even more challenging on the other hand you can try the hard difficulty, and you will do less damage to bosses and they will damage you a lot more, that will keep you sweating during the entire long combat. check what of the 4 difficulty settings fit more your ideal game play Hope you enjoy! :D
you have the basic foundation for a potentially fun game. Add upgrade options to each gun, and to your playable character. Also possibly turret features or traps or money bonuses. Add some music to the levels, give it a storyline, such as every stage you move your buddies closer to a safe point or something. Also, more Cowbell!
Had a classic feel to it, but the instant death on hit plus restarting from scratch made me give it a 2/5. either give your "tank" the ability to take a couple hits or turn it into a fluffy bunny with a big gun for as much damage as it can take.
