The eye-only challenge levels are frustrating because they represent a different sort of challenge than the rest of the game.
I love the fast paced strategy of the rest of this game. I hate the fast paced mousing of the eye-only levels.
A winning strategy on normal and legendary: spam marines with skirmishers right behind them. Late in the game, add shield breakers when affordable (and whenever you can do "Launch Wave"). To finish up battles as quickly as possible, spam siege crossbows to mop up the last of the enemies.
Good suggestion, Rain King. It took me a few tries, but I was able to beat May 7 without moving too. I did have a lot of micromanagement of mortars, flying back and forth to charge and shoot.
April 6th without blasters: awesome idea. I did it. I had a fleet of about a dozen drones going by the end. Nonstop bombing performing the function of "capping" the creeper.
April 2nd is a BMF. After three attempts, I got it with just mortars and blasters in 34:48.
I know it's possible to beat it faster, but every inch is such a fight!
7290--has anyone seen if an upgrade comes at 7500 points?
I've been struggling to find out but I cant stay alive much past 6800.
The computer starts to slow down pretty wicked too when the whole area becomes bogged down with a white mesh of letters
