Firstly, nerdook comes up with the ideas. If you don't like the idea, tough cookies.
Secondly, if you want to see any improvements then you need to be specific about what you don't like and want fixed, etc. nerdook can't do much about problems that aren't spoken about.
So, in the interest of being good gamers, help him out by identifying what you think needs to be changed. :)
I could not stand the final boss. I decided to go with my own ideas about playing my class, a Mutant, instead of following the badge-getting strategy of an agile Stark. Well, it seems my class in and of itself is completely game-breaking, with reference to the final boss. Waizer can apparently be taken down with ease by several builds. Turns out the Mutant isn't one of these. Why is this the case? Surely, if you're offering a single-player game with several classes, the point is that all classes should be able to eventually deal with every challenge. As it turns out, mine was amazing for just about everyone, including all the bosses and iconic encounters. Except for one, last boss. I die by so many methods here. I get stun-locked and beaten to death. I get one-shotted. I attack and get counter-attacked to death. I deal no damage on my counters, and deal none to him, allowing him to whittle my health down. He deals ridiculous damage as though it's a norm.
I have no problems with a difficult final boss, in fact I expect it. At the moment, however, difficult is impossible, purely because of the class and skills I chose. It's currently about 30 losses so far and I've only gotten close to killing him twice, and that was because I got lucky stuns on my first attacks, crippling him so he couldn't counter-attack. If luck is to play such a heavy role, for one class, perhaps you really need to revisit the mechanics of the final boss.
I'm not particularly eager to play all the way through this, purely to satisfy the game's biased mechanics, when it should be reasonably balanced for all classes.
Very disappointing end, to what was otherwise quite a substantially polished game. With a sprinkling of bugs, but hey, lots of final games have bugs. They can't get everything, I suppose.
Thoroughly enjoyed the game, nerdook! I've enjoyed all your recent games quite a lot, and when I saw that you love Lepids and Sloths!!!! :D It made my day, so I decided to give you some kreds for the game and the reference. :)
I have a problem with this game, aside from the hiding of items that are purchasable via Kreds so that we can't see *what* we'd be paying for. It's apparent when you buy the items in the shop, then try to equip them. For some insanely annoying reason, I cannot find a way to *unselect* what I've equipped, and then re-select the three items that I want. And if I try to choose the three that I want, I always end up re-assigning one of the items that I want to keep. I've managed to work out a decent enough solution, but not the exact set I wanted.
I'd just like a better way to equip the items, really.
In order to get the combos to work properly, try holding down the keys as you press them in the right order. It seems to work more effectively for me now.
Three things:
1) Make the mute button permanent, plus perhaps including sound effects?
2) Sometimes items from previous games get 'stuck' on screen. This can be immensely painful.
3) Perhaps a quick-restart button as well?
Other than that, I really enjoyed the game :)
Woot! As a lot of people have said, luck is a big part. I got most of the 30th ring done without any altering bonuses and only needed two colour changes to finish it.
DWarrior, a piece of advice re: antennas. Place an engineer near them for a few minutes, then move him back to where you want him. The next time the clean-up feature kicks in, the antenna will repair itself.
I would rather that the huge tanks didn't turn their aiming quite so fast. It makes it almost impossible to finish the survival level, with 4 of them and the walls covered in turrets, since they turn with you and you have to cop a shot. (Especially impossible with two of those levels)
I don't mind the lack of a save, or a retry, etc... I just wish we could swap pieces around, especially in the later levels where the limiters are so powerful. Just so that you could exchange the pieces simultaneously, instead of being stuck with them like what happens to me.
*sigh* Once again, the message needs to be repeated. This is not a game. It's meant to be something amusing and light going on on the side, whilst you spend your time chatting.
