I guess after all my joking on the comments, I might as well actually write something. HyperHippoGames, thank you for making a game which has been awesome to play for the last two months and will continue to be awesome. Its been a pleasure to put Kreds to this game, and now that there are chat rooms for meeting the community who has come together in the name of Capitalism it has really been the icing on the cake. For a game this simple, it should not be so much fun to play, yet it is. Thanks for the great game, I look forward to your future releases!
Angel Investors are my previous employees who when they died I used a ritual so that they can work for me even after death. So there are now three guarantees in life: death, taxes, and working for me after death.
With the new updates and upgrades, the amount of money I currently am holding onto has surpassed total money earned over the course of all games. In the span of writing this it has tripled the amount of all games.
Your cash counter might be slightly broken.
Around my first quintillion I realized I had more than enough money to solve all world debt, but instead thought that a hat on top of my head and a moon base were far better solutions.
To be fair, at least the hat looks good.
I guess by the time you are investing in 500+ lemonade stands, its not actually for the Earth, but rather you have decided to start your business on the moon....
I am of two minds of this game. On one hand, I can see a lot of the work put into this game with characters, story, etc. This seems like a game made out of love for RPGs and I can certainly appreciate that. My primary issue with the game comes from its rather odd difficulty curve, or in most cases, a lack of one. Chapter 1 was a great start, but once I started obtaining AoE spells the difficulty all but disappeared. It became rather boring getting CP for doing almost nothing. The bosses were a nice change of pace because I actually had to put effort into more than a couple button presses. I honestly wish this game had a harder difficulty through the normal game (the meta-comment was funny in that regard), but it is a very well done and polished game that I am happy that I played through. 4/5
One question: how does debuffing within this game work in relation to stats? I understand the resistances and immunity portions, but does the MAG stat have a factor in overall accuracy?
On that note, for those who comment "bad graphics", and there are more than there should be, you really do not understand where gaming as come from, and how cool it is to see a game in our age emulate what we used to have. Probably will get rated down, but at least I put my opinion out there.
Got killed on Contra, and had to stop playing due to personal time constraints.
OMG...I am only a mere 20 years old. However, these references(I understand about 60-70% of them) are great, and even the ones I don't immediately get are good. I haven't seen a game that has made me nostalgic of when I was not born for a while. You deserve a much higher rating than what is currently up.
Had no issues with the game bug wise, and I thought the simple controls made the game more nostalgic and fun. It had difficult times, and then some easy times, but I think the entertainment and ease of controls is what deserves it a 5/5.
And on the note of my last comment...
This game is fun, and takes a bit of strategy. I see a lot of posts saying you need to go through every monster. I disagree strongly with this method. I controlled much of what my characters did, especially closer towards the dragon where I needed to keep key characters alive. 4/5 for good mechanics, funny song, and innovative way of gaming. I just wish the random generator was kinder in its characters picks and monster spawns (never got a rogue)
Started with a Paladin/Warrior team...the Paladin was beast in the beginning, but then the warrior took out the dragon by himself near the end. On my first attempt, finished the hard badge on day 25 :D
I enjoy this game because of the randomness. However, it definitely is not a game, but more like watching someone play a really good RPG. Sure, you wish you could actually play it, but it is still nice to watch and see what is going on. There are some idle RPG's (Grindquest, etc.) which give you control over the skills you use automatically, equipment, location, etc. However, this Idle gives exactly 0 control over your existence, which is a disappointment considering how much fun it is to see equipment such as "+83 Godlike Triple Frostmourne".
On the entertainment value alone, I give it a 5/5. Definitely is fun to watch. But due to the lack of control and feeling with your character, I feel it deserves somewhere around a 3/5.
My lvl 14 Goblin Ninja has a +84 Godlike Vorpal Tactical Nukes
Tactical Nukes are enough...but they add Godlike. I guess that makes sense...
What is the point of vorpal on a nuke?
[First Mate] Sir, I see a treasure chest floating on the horizon [Captain] Shoot it! [FM] Why, wouldn't we destroy the treasure inside? [C] I do not care, it needs to be destroyed [FM] But we could pick it up [C] Don't have the time, everyone else is reloading the cannons.
You are a god among Capitalists!
