dunno what you changed exactly (yea, i ve read the changelog, but...) but now i can't even get blue drops (besides supportive parts). Lvls 11-53 and not a single blue weapon drop.
i think you just made everything worse with your changes.
Could be a nice game, but until you update the game mechanics properly: 1/5
A game based on strategy like this needs buttons for formations.
Besides that when i order my ships to attack a target, they attack everything else but not the selected target.
Atropos is just crazy... It took me about 35 tries to only get to his final form, but can't really beat him (even with using two defensive lasers and sparing out the warp core). Besides that you should be able to deactivate particles, because high number of particles makes the game unplayable with rockets or flak on ubuntu (no hardware-acc for flash) or slower pcs. Besides that Plasma-range is just freaking short. Even with good aim the amount of hits you score is too low to be a good weapon. Additionally there also should be a better weapon before Atropos. You already said that increasing weapon-power is not necessary for late-game, but at least a little more power would balance the game a lot better. If you changed these small things and if Hyperion and Atropos weren't so unbalanced it could have been a 5/5, but until then I'll give it a 2/5.
How am I supposed to free the trapped Ping from the pool??? I tried hitting left-right for at least 5 minutes, but nothing happened besides getting +1 exp/coin...
