I finally beat it on my third try. To be honest, I enjoyed the game. That said, the tax rate gets silly very quickly. I had to desperately try to keep up and had no spare cash for any of the furniture. The only reason I managed to win in the end was that I saved every single dime while my master was alive and we were manage to mass produce paintings. Once he died, the income dropped off rapidly and Leo was struggling to make ends meet, blowing the fortune I had saved to pay taxes. If I'd had another year, I would have likely never won.
Three level 5 dogs with skills 1, 3, 5, 11, and 15 are a beast mode choice for beginners. Make one of them level 2 by house 2 with skill 1 and 5, one level 2 by house four with skill 1 and 5, and the final level 2 by house six with skill 1 and 5. From there it is your choice. Heal spam ftw.
Lag Help: Many people mention lagging when hordes come. The reason behind this is that when the hordes come, you often end up tapping your buttons faster than normal. This leads to you giving commands faster that the game can respond to them. The game must commit an action before it can move on to the next action, so if you click the attack button 20 times and then click the back button, your character must attack 20 times before you go back. They way to fix this: Do one action at a time. Attack and when the attack finishes, click again. Back up, then after you have backed up press the attack button. Do not rapidly press anything. Slow and steady prevents lag in this instance.
Eh..I've played an Edgebee game before. Sorecery Quest was one of my favorite games of all time. I dumped around $300 into, was in the top three players of all categories for about a month, and in the end more money was required of me to make it further in the game and to keep it affordable. This game is nothing but a cash sink and I would advise heavily against spending a dime on it. If you like it, play it for free because even if you do put money in it you'll quit within 2-3 months anyways. 100% not worth getting ripped off. Friendly advice from someone who got suckered in.
This game had a shocking amount of plot and story to it that really brings players in. After the first few scenes, I actually found myself wanting to skip the battles so I could move on in the story because it was so captivating. This game has truly brought Role-Playing back into the RPG genre and given us old RPGers something we can enjoy. If you decide creating future games is too much of a hassle, you should consider writing a book. I can assure you, if it's anything like the story in this game it would be brilliant.
I managed to finally beat it on nightmare by sheer luck. I got attacked when my fort danger percent was 93% and managed to win the fight. From there the game basically fell into my lap since all my soldiers got that free extra turn. Nothing on Harder and Nightmare is achievable without risk. Anything below 30% danger should be gone for. This means that 1 out of every 3 attempts will likely end in death, but if you fail you're just short a survivor, who you can easily replace. If you win, your city prospers. PS, a lot of soldiers often solo killing zombies in buildings goes a long way in keeping your city danger down.
