rescue mode was enjoyable, but speed rescue and INKT chase leave so much to be desired the small victory is hardly worth it. It's an interesting concept, with poor execution. WASD or arrow keys would be far better for control than the mouse: i have a trackpad and keep getting stuck when i don't mean to. Rework the game and get back to me, THQ. 2/5.
Seven steps to getting a high score:
1. Hit turtles.
2. Open floodgates.
3. Buy Buzzsaws
4. Buy Proxy mines
5. Buy launchers
6. Hit proxy mine
7. Go on vacation for a month.
I like this. The game gives you no reason to either obey or disobey. Obeying for the sake of obediance clarifies your life, and disobeying for the sake of disobeying makes it more distracting, and more difficult...I feel like the voice could act as the voice society...obey the rules and you get further, easier, but disobey and you get a more colorful, but more difficult world to live in. The way you automatically respond to the commands really says something about you as a person. Neither is really the correct answer. Kinda like life.
I feel, and correct if I'm wrong: the starting environment of an office building suggests an escape from the corporate machine, an escape from being a mindless drone to being a true individual...at least that's what I think. Also: AWESOME GAME GREAT JOB!
This is probably not at all what you were going for...but I really enjoyed the between-level comments almost as much as the actual game. The wild swings between lighthearted jokes and odd, psychological comments such as "I've never seen" makes it really enjoyable while still keeping you on edge.
5/5...I love people who attempt and succeed to put video games on the map as an art form, not just a source of mindless entertainment. With a brilliant asthetic, a simple yet gripping story, and a deeply resonating theme, you have definitely acheived that. You are an example to game designers everywhere.
