Great game, even for the grind... and then I realized it didn't save any of my progress. Those two things cannot exist together. Fix that and it's a 4 star game. As is, it's a 1.
Man, people need to learn how pay-to-play works. You let people do 90% of the game for absolutely free, then you charge for the last 10% of the stuff at the end-game. The people who don't want to pay can stop there, and the people who want to support you will do so and finish up.
What you DON'T do is start charging for stuff right out the gate. That drives away players and ensures your own failure. It's funny really, because you obviously wanted to use this to make money, and it could have, if you actually did it right. The way it is now is just how you kill a pay-to-play title, so congratulations, you defeated yourself.
I decided to be open-minded and try the game again. I was doing some lvl 6 quests fighting humans, finally starting to get ahead of them and making a little money.
Then the difficulty slid to 7 and every level, even the lower levels below 7, are filled with automatons instead of the normal enemies. 1 on 1, they kill me. If there's 2 or more of them , I die almost instantly. I can barely even hurt them. I just failed 3 consecutive quests by being killed by the first enemy I encountered.
Your game could be great, but right now it's a mess, frankly, and not worthy of more than a 3/5. Sorry. Fix the numerous and glaring balance and gameplay issues and you'll have something to start with. Expecting anyone to actually contribute money into this, as it is right now, is laughable.
The flip powerup wouldn't be so annoying if there wasn't 6 of them onscreen at any time. They should not appear as frequently as they do. At the very least they should spawn at the same rate as the spread powerup, not the shield and circle shot rate.
Awesome game. The only thing I would change is the fact you can miss shots. That seems like a bad idea for a TD game, just my opinion. Still 5/5, but I'd still really reconsider the missing.
Found my first tomb. Broke it open just as the last wave was ending to see what was inside. Did NOT expect a huge wave of roided-out monsters to plow through all of my defenses and kill me.
Sonofa...
Great game! 4/5. Will be 5/5 if you make the gun not completely useless. It uses all of the ammo up on the weak zombies at the beginning instead of saving it for the big zombies that are actually a threat.
Great game and it will be a 5/5 easily...with some polish, bugfixes, and needed features. This feels a lot like playing a beta version. No offense intended.
Fun game, but it really feels like the upgrade system could use some "fleshing out". Maybe the staple of choosing greater dmg vs greater atk speed, etc. I liked how you could construct your own path.
I've tried every tip mentioned here about getting the cannonball to the barrels on lvl 13. None of them work for me. The cannonball vanishes before impact every single time, even if it's a perfect arc that doesn't touch any walls or anything else on the way down, it still vanishes before impact. Great game, love the series, but if that isn't a bug then I can't rate this installment as highly as the previous ones.
I was stuck on 14, so I looked at the walkthrough. You use a shot that someone going through for the first time wouldn't have by then. Still stuck at 14. Great game though.
Fun game, but it has some significant flaws. The weapons all "feel" really weak, even when fully charged. The bow and the rifle are pretty useless. You can't hit people fleeing with nuts if someone advancing comes between you and them, which is a huge problem in later levels.
Fun, but flawed. 3/5
