Yeah I should have checked comments before I put that much work into the game about the lost saves. level 15 and a few hours of messing around for gold trophy achievements all gone this morning.
I'm in this with a lot of people. THe game is huge there's tons of great content and it has awesome potential but the unit control is just not there yet. Trying to deselect quickly and tell other units to do things just doesn't not do it. On split road maps they don't know where to go or the waypoints don't work quite right. Also they ignore your commands sometimes if you tell them to attack a building they just keep moving instead. Get that under control and this will be great.
The one thing really bugging me is the pointer being right on the ships nose.. It's extremely annoying when trying to turn quick to fire at something and instead you turn and fly into something.
I'm having a hard time enjoying it a whole lot when the money scale to items is not sufficient. I find I'm constantly not making enough money to keep up with the upgrades and getting into day 10 and further gets harder and hard that I constantly die to a dragon since I can't afford to keep upgrading at the same rate and I'm letting my soulshrines run to where i'm 5% then renewing so I'm not blowing money for no reason. I'm also not buying elixirs as often when I can avoid it and using my armor upgrades to heal me at the same time instead so I get a double use from it.
I'd love it if the bonus things were also set so you could use the keyboard to activate them. It's annoying going to activate something and you can't collect the loot at the same time.
Good concept. I love puzzle quest even though this isn't quite the same but it's a same deal. A few things and I don't know if it's just me not noticing it but I was checking. I wasn't receiving any gold for matching certain gems even though I was buying the added 10% bonus to gold on matching certain gem types. Also it keeps hanging up on me once in a while like it's really drawing on a system to play it. I have an extremely fast machine though so not sure why it would.
There's other stuff too but it's a solid platform to build on.
I really really wish after the first game the running training would have been a bit smoother but it's not. Still a fun little game but it is just annoying that when doing the running training you press up and he does nothing because he's mid hope.
i like the game like the first one. it's better for sure. i definitely would like the comments on what the upgrades are added in. also too many damn spiders sometimes in the chest games.
I'm with Neil about the targeting. It's a pin in the butt because you figure ok frost towers slow the mobs down but when you get to the last boss and they are still targeting the first guy that entered the screen and the rest of them are exiting the screen it's not a great balance to that. If you could adjust that then this would be much better for me.
As others said you can pretty much move your mouse super quick right off the start and get to the win so you can skip the maze aspect as others have said with correcting the collision.
Also don't get me wrong. Like I said it's a fun little game with a lot going for it. I just wish the scoring part gave you more times to work a profession and make some items to adventure with. By the time you train yourself up to make things you run out of time to actually adventure.
My only problem with it although it's fun and it can get addictive when bored... the size, proportion and amount of things to do in the game are destroyed by the amount of time you have to do it inside the scoring portion of the game. Tier 5 can be achieved but you don't feel like you actually got into the game until after the weeks have passed.
Also the amount of stress and weeks it takes to clear certain dungeons is a bit much. It took me a long long time to clear the path to hell and that's with a 3.5 multiplier on the garden with it being 2.5 for resting only taking a week inbetween.
Can't finish the game. I'm 21% through and my npcs have disappeared from the 2nd village. I can't go back to them and tell them what happened. Terrible.
If you get hit in the later levels you can recover but it's almost not worth the recovery by the time you are able to collect more rock. Also the downtime on collision is too long you can never get your pieces back or even 15% of them. Also needs a pause function.
