I think this game is a metaphor for the idea of women's rights, where women who are "slaves" see life as bleak, uninteresting, and safe because they know nothing better and just do as their told, whereas the more a woman defies preconceptions of how her life is supposed to be and makes her own choices in life, the world might become more dangerous but it also becomes filled with more color, if she compromises with life she will get more detail and understanding of the world around her, at the cost of a little less color
Perhaps I'm reading WAY too much into it, but I just noticed that as I was playing *shrugs*
If you look at the title, compared to the game, it appears to be very sexist. What is the first question? Are you male or female. If you choose male, the game tells you that you are, in fact, a girl. If you relate this to the title, it apparently is telling you that men have the ability to choose, whereas women do not. If you look at the text throughout the game, it seems more like something a dominate man would say to his wife, girlfriend.
