History
Seren Arona was born in Tokyo, Japan on October 9, 1995. Her mother and father had not expected her, and usually called her a mistake. Her parents also owned an old shrine, which was on their property since they had moved to their home years earlier. Seren was always attracted to this shrine as a child, and played with her ‘friends’ there. When her parents questioned her about these friends, she said that they didn’t like her parents, and only appeared to her. Seren’s mother was troubled by this; worried her child would tell others and embarrass her. As she grew to the age of three, she spent hours at the shrine, which worried her family. To get away from these ‘spirits’ they moved to America, were they hoped Seren would grow up normally. Seren still saw these ghosts in America, but didn’t tell her parents. When she started middle school, she was shunned by her other classmates, for they saw her talking to herself most of the time. In response to this, she had nightmares about her classmates. Some of them were beat up, mugged, or were hurt in sporting accidents. To her surprise, her dreams usually came true days later. All the classmates she dreamed about were the ones who were particularly mean to her. She went to a local psychic to try to explain this, and found out that she had the gift of True Sight. After this, she befriended this psychic, and visited her regularly. At the age of fourteen, her father came home drunk, after getting fired the following day. Seren and her mother tried to calm him down by sitting him on the couch. Her father yelled at them, blaming Seren for him being fired. Seren yelled back at him, telling it it’s your fault that she was like this. Her father, furious, began hitting her with a belt, leaving bruises and cuts all over her. Her mother just stood by and watched, for she agreed with her husband. Seren, crying and bleeding, ran to her psychic friend, who told the police. Seren’s father was sent to jail, and her mother was appalled by her daughter doing this to her family. Her mother asked the physic, named Alaina, to take her, yelling that she didn’t want a girl like that in her home. Having no home, Alaina took Seren in. Alaina, trying to get Seren away from her troubles, moved her to Japan just in time for her freshman year of high school.

Appearance
Seren has long brown hair, which frames her shoulders. Her eyes are a shining yellow-green. Her soft fair skin contrasts beautifully with her hair. She usually wears a dull red tee, with a brown jacket and a dark denim skirt. She also wears brown boots, that rest a few inches below her knees. She has a brownish belt around her waist, with a traditional katana resting in it.

Abilities Seren can see ghosts and the future through her dreams. This is called True Sight. She is also quite good at fighting with a katana. She has two ghosts, Lydia and Micah, who stay at her command. The two ghost girls can form into shards of sharp energy and cut the opponent.

Personality Seren is quiet, and keeps to herself. Her ghosts are her only friends. She is a caring person, yet never shows this trait to outsiders. She also loves to draw those ghosts she sees.
