This is what happened from traveling from Krin to Mejowski: Robbed 3 guys- 1120 total gold. Found four empty crates and 2 axes, one stick, and 300 gold.

It's easiest to use the freighter. You can hold 2000 of meteorite, while carrying out cargo missions and killing ships in your path.
