Not saying this is bad, because I'm sure you accomplished what you set out to do, and there are plenty of relaxing "click on stuff" games, but it's not a puzzle game. If you aren't given multiple options in a situation, failure can only be in execution. Also, the circuits and switches are pretty much pointless when we could just directly click the bolts, and merely serve to obfuscate the player's visual grasp on the situation to make it seem more complex, which leaves a sour taste. It's like being asked to put a thread through a needle eye while squinting your eyes and looking in a mirror. No thought involved whatsoever, just needlessly complicated.
A bit bland gameplay-wise (pill collectathon and trivial enemies, basically Sonic without the speed), but considering the obvious love and effort that was put into it (really liking the music), it's depressing to see this get about the same rating as the latest TD/shooter/launching trite. Looking forward to a more polished sequel.
Even by launching game standards, there's almost no skill involved. If you're going at any speed past the minimum it's impossible to react to whatever's ahead of you before you reach it. You really need to zoom the camera out and let us see what's coming if you want this to be more than a "hold the mouse button and frantically wave your mouse across the screen for 10 minutes" game.
- Needs option to restart level from the beginning instead of last checkpoint
- After dying, just respawn me at the last checkpoint instead of kicking me out of the level and making me reload it
Other than that, 5/5
Apparently you coded the Kill All Overlords achievement to actually check for 4 overlords killed. I killed the first two overlords on the first try, died, killed the first two again on the second try, died, got the achievement, and now I can't reenter the overlord dimension to go after Overlord Dagoth.
Aw man, I got 133% energy before badges were added and thought for sure that was going to be the Hard badge, but now I gotta do everything deathless? I loved this game, but it's badges like this that require a category between Hard and Impossible, because this is way harder than your typical Hard badge. Just to be sure, though, can you do any 72 levels deathless, or does it have to be levels 1-72?
Well, now I'm pretty sure Survival Mode is the core problem here. After playing it once it makes all normal levels impossible to complete, even though they were working fine before.
Sorry, but intentionally making level ups increase difficulty is incredibly counter-intuitive. Why would you want to reward and punish the player at the same time for going out of his way to collect experience? Just design all skills to be helpful and put your ideas for a more challenging experience in the level design of another difficulty level. Other than that, 4/5.
How do I switch to the new ship after beating the game? Starting a new file SIMPLY ERASES ALL PROGRESS, SO THE SHIP IS LOCKED AGAIN. I've played through the game twice because of that.
Well, I found a way, but am I really supposed to force myself underwater left of the starting position with a piece of environment? Doesn't seem intended.
Great game. Well, I 100%ed everything easily, except for Botzilla!!! I honestly have no idea how I'm supposed to get past 60%. There's all sorts of vents going around and stuff above the exit, but how do I get there? After bringing the subway up the elevator it's just stuck there.
you were right =) thank you!
