I usually like launch games. This one is boring, slow, and frustrating. The more speed you get, the more likely you'll be unable to avoid one of the obstacles that hit you and just don't get out of the way.
Beyond being a great RPG with lots of depth, this game is really funny at times. I'm actually surprised that is manages to be both heartfelt and comical. I haven't had as much lighthearted fun playing an RPG since Earthbound (with which this shares many positive qualities). I'm honestly shocked that the developer is planning to make several more chapters after this. If they are as well-designed and as deep as this one, the series will really be epic. The main criticism I have with the game is is the tediousness of trying to master the relevant abilities on your less frequently used characters before they get new equipment.
I played through the whole game without a single bug.
Is there anything to do after you fill the love tower?
Also, for 1000 gems, I definitely didn't get my money's worth...
Has anyone been able to use the Gravity Kill? It's disabled in Free Play, but I keep accidentally running into Mars in Story Mode before I can collect enough cash...
To the game's creator, I would recommend making a map screen so that the player can more easily find the right nexus to places they've already been before. Also, a nicely done map would give the game additional character.
Every badguy's range of fire is smaller than the players, so for stationary targets, you can park yourself so the badguy is just inside your inner scan zone, and open fire. If you can't tell if you're hitting it, you can fly by it fast and lock onto it (with missile launcher), and then you can monitor it's heath drop as you snipe it from afar...
Shandos, I didn't see any of the bugs you mention. The only bug is that Taint IS cumulative, directly contrary to the game's instructions. Overall, it's a fun game. Got to save those dispells for when it matters. And use blackmail when your opponent has substantial taint - it makes them lose a turn.
Yeah HaekerX, I agree. Dolphin Olympics 2 was a fantastically fun and rich game to play. I might just have to go back and visit that restaurant again...
