It's strange, but the best strategy for me was to place the ground towers at the top of the map (because they still shock air troops that get close), AA at the bottom of the map, and mines all in the "path" between them. Air basically couldn't get close and my own attack was enough to take out the ground troops...
Is it sad that I found the "Hard" mode (Not going to spoil it for anyone who actually just now started playing) actually easier than the Normal mode?
The attack buffs made the bosses SO much easier, and if you didn't start accidentally flipping gravity everywhere it's actually pretty simple to evade and counter, so to speak. Awesome game though =3
As annoying of a game as it is, it's not impossible, and yes enemies DO lose lives for being taken off screen. That's why the Warp gun is a +. Jump off, turn to face the enemy, and once you're at the point of no return, fire it so They're falling off. If you manage to time it right, it's a free kill.
I enjoyed the game, and the only thing I have to say is, I'm curious on if there's more than just the "dying" ending and the "escaping" ending. If not, you missed a chance to do so. Above average, and I will say that first room where opening the door kills you, actually made me jump. XD
Wow. You know, it's sad that people have been getting upset at this game. You realise it's a G.A.M.E. right? I'm of Christian belief and I chuckled at this =/ It's not meant to be taken seriously. It's meant to be fun or funny. Sheesh, people need to get their heads out of their asses I swear... Make all of us look bad.
Just as a note. New generation gaming is nothing compared to old-school, hence all the old-school questions. =P Interesting quiz though. Got 68% total myself. A lot of the Sega-Genesis questions threw me off. Was always a Nintendo fan myself.
I found that with 3 lines of spikes and the rest all archers, things work pretty well =P Arrow/Shot/Cannon for drakes and fire eles, and Lightning if things get hairy, and you're good. Lol
I actually can not give this game a good rating =/ I've played almost all of your games, and loved each one, till now. First off, I've beaten IWBTG, so I can understand the difficulty and insanity stirring platforming that was here. But that's not the issue. The issue is that your difficulty comes from poor air movement, slippery controls, and unresponsive jumps, not design. The music is okay, but gets VERY repetitive within a few minutes. I didn't have any real trouble once I got used to the controls until about level 32. That and 33 were so annoying that I already began to get annoyed. It did get much easier from there, oddly, but the issue is the one thing that's lacking is the sense of accomplishment that makes these style games good. I'm sorry, but I just can't rate this up.
I don't know why people complain about the Earth levels. I actually found it fun as hell to fine tune everything. There's just something about that "A-HA!" moment when everything works together, like a Rube Goldberg, and you succeed in completing it.
My favorite charactors for killing bosses in order is 1: NoLegs (Freaking Star special + Focus is nasty as hell o.o, though his bomb isn't that long so...) 2: Lance (Mine special deals massive damage at point-blank, great for opening the phases of battle, and his Bomb gives loads of invin. frames) 3: Natalie (Her attacks don't do alot of damage per hit, but all of her attacks usually hit, and her bomb is nice for invin. frames) 4: Matt (Special must be used too close for most boss phases, and bomb is way too short, but he's still decent) 5: Anna (I hate her... Weak special, weak main, and even her bomb is pathetic on damage, though it's probably the longest one available, her low damage makes it useless on boss phases.)
Most fun thing to do, level 5, "The Thicket", + Burning Temples on the High Ground(Scorching Aura) + Frenzy maxed o.o Mass lava pool that none shall pass Mwahahaha
I had previously commented stating that I didn't understand the purpose of the Maker, and that the idea was novel, but it needed tweaking... Well, since then, I have purchased CW2, and tinkered with Makers more in some of those levels, and just wanted to revise my previous comment. They could still use tweaking (as Ore is unavailable in some levels, should be able to use an artificial ore from Energy for a higher cost or something lol), but they are ALOT better than I originally stated. Shields + 1-2 for Vacuum to keep them directed/recycled, and you can make a "safe" haven for your Blasters/Launchers to attack from, or use them as a barrier to block the Creeper, among other uses. So I'm sorry for my unthoughtful remark before.
