@Tolrick, to gain levels, try a single Lime/Yellow gem surrounded by a couple of amps in every previous map, all the beginning ones too, just unlock them in every single map (change skills around accordingly and difficulty to max), and proceed to rake in an easy 40 levels.
There is a spot on some enemies if I remember correctly that arrows will go straight through... like the necks of berzerkers or something, so that could be it too
Ok, why is it that if you spec into life steal it only lasts for ~2 hits? If I want 5% life steal I want it for the entire battle, not just the first 2 hits where I'm just about at full health anyway.
I'm not sure if people got what my last comment was about, so I'll explain. Duelist does extra % damage with Adrenaline. You can get your adrenaline up just by shooting corpses, at higher levels you need groups of corpses. Revolver, aside from doing amazing damage, has the ability to infini-reload if you just hold down spacebar, making it perfect for someone who can't stop shooting for a second. Power Shot increases damage by 1.5x all the time when maxed out and Sense makes you crit more. At 600% damage for crits and 1200% damage from crits in Rampage (certain level gives you 100% extra for adrenaline) you are doing insane damage all the time.
Managed to beast through the game with only a few problems. I died on Oblivion in the last second, after the boss had been defeated... I can say I was a bit crazy after that. I loved this game so much. Matt is definitely my favorite character, not only because he's my favorite character in any of the games, but his attacks felt most powerful and he had the best sub-attack in my opinion. All of the rest of the attacks felt a bit underpowered, including the sub-attacks for everyone except NoLegs.
Matt reminds me a lot of Fighter. So... Many... Swords... And of course I've made it my goal to get all of his swords back since he carelessly lost them.
Great game, but I've noticed that sometimes in survival mode it stops sending waves. I got to level 24 before i was forced to quit survival and start again at level 20.
I like the series, truly I do, but there are a few things that I think could be added in to improve this game.
First, including the editor was a nice touch, but I see no reason to add on red bubbles as they make it easier for enemies to hit you and only make your tank look good, so all I ended up doing was making a small bubble and putting all of my guns on that.
Second, I think there has to be weak spots(like possibly the guns/seeker ports) if you're going to make the enemy tanks have such high health and the guns do so little damage. Even your own tank could have a weak spot that would make the red bubbles useful to protect it.
Third, the de-evolution of tanks was a good idea in the second one, I'd really like to see it again, even if it just showed how close you are to killing the enemy and made no real difference in firepower(no health bars for enemy tanks please). 4/5
I'm sorry to do this too, but while I will normally let small grammatical errors slip by, there are too many blatant ones here. Really, there should have been someone proofreading this before it came out.
The revolver is one of the best weapons possible, with power shot and sense it does insane damage. Just hold down the space bar and it'll reload in between shots and if your reloading is high enough it might even reload before you can shoot, making it a steady source of great damage.
