I love the idea, although it would be great if you expanded on it with some kind of tutorial, more varied backgrounds, maybe different endings dependent on the amount of killed followers (you know, tyrant/merciful god etc), stuff like that. Hope you make a sequel, it's a really promising game.
Hey,
Yeha true, we could expand it a bit (or a lot) more, but we decided to just upload the version that we made during the gamejam. But good suggestions anyways!
It would be great if I could choose between mouse and keyboard, I hate to accidentally move the mouse and steer the bike into the danger. Other than that, fun game with nice graphics and smooth gameplay. 5/5
Fun, crazy, a piece of really well done game, temporary effects are great in that they can be both positive or negative and the backstory is a fine example that being batshit crazy is a hell of a ride. Moar please?
Awesome upgrades, hard mode is decent, although after a while it gets far too easy. It would be great if the enemies were a little more insane, seeing as I'm controlling the guy who's shooting bees out of his machine gun while forcing horse I'm on to jump over the soldiers ;) Really cool game, one of the best upgrade systems in quite a while.
Want a nice challenge? Upgrade your horse a lot and then kill a small tank by jumping on it. I think this could possibly be done since small tanks can take damage when you jump on them. :)
By far the most unimaginative of Thing Thing Arena's, saved from getting one star only because of the graphics and Artifact 23 which would be face-meltingly cool was it Arena 3. But... two weapons, no melee (thus no executions), practically every awesome weapon of Arena 3 taken out, unlimited ammo, everything stripped down to mechanics that are worse than any of the Madness Interactive games... I really hope it's as mob19151 thinks it might be. Otherwise it will be a really suckish TT series from now on if nothing gets changed. 2/5, unless it was just a demo of graphics and whatnots. Although then you could have left the gameplay intact.
I know right now I sound repetitive, but this game is one of the best horror games in here, and not only the graphics don't mean simplification, they give this surreal, creepy vibe. Haven't felt uneasy like this since my last nightmare and haven't had my heart stop for a second since last good Silent Hill game.
I simply can't seem to hit most of the time, it's as if you had to time the hit almost perfectly it's what I tried to say. Little tweak of hit detection wouldn't hurt, I think ;)
Interesting idea, but the controls ruin it, hitting the target is way too hard. Even if it's in the range of the weapon, it's more probable that you miss rather than hit what you want. Despite that, nice game. 3/5.
If it's in range you'll definitely hit. Anything within range is hit (so you can hit multiple targets) and the hit detection isn't instantaneous but lasts the whole animation. Maybe it's the three-hit rule that's throwing you off? Or do you mean to say that the enemies bunch up too much?
Add more guns, maybe different targets, even those standard terrorist/"please don't shoot me, I'm a hostage" ones. Could use different modes- missions, shooting range, hunting, whatever. Good idea with realistic sighting, although it needs some work, as you said, too sensitive now. And make the visuals coherent - background and targets look bad in comparison to the shooter's hand. The hand and the gun reminds me of old arcade games, which is cool, a game in this style would be awesome.
Correct spelling bugs, making it little smoother and adding few more upgrades, e.g. pendants or even skills also wouldn't hurt. Has potential, since there are few things we, the people like more than slaying other creatures, but this feels like something between alpha and beta version.
Probably the best adventure game released this year. Oldschool, with absurd jokes, entertaining as hell. What else could you possible want? Maybe a sequel?
I consider ability to play additional classes in upcoming games a bit cruel for those, who didn't finish Crusade. To play those bonus classes in Revenant, you have to had finished Crusade with both sides(to play both Demon and Ascended) and it was possible, although it takes hell of time to do it. In next game, to play all the races, you have to had finished Crusade on both sides and Revenant with all four races. It would be ok, if the games were faster, but they aren't. So maybe it would be better to make some races available after first ending of the third game, not after finishing first game twice and second one four times? It would be a lot fairer to the players, especially that some, who ended Crusade, lost saves(no matter in what way) and it would take much more time to get back to the point where they ended(that was my case). So please, give all the races to us without beating previous games six times. Just freaking please.
@hobostaber I would take this as not letting us forget Wolfenstein's levels, which looked like swastikas, and, some of them, swastikas surrounded by swastikas, rather than insulting anyone or even bad kind of joke.
The best thing in this game is for me music. It had potential, but it didn't use it. Here's nothing to achieve, nothing to do except two completely random levels, two levels that look like a very good tutorial and one level that you can somehow connect with two first if you really try. Make it longer and not pointless, then it will be one of the best games in which you experience something really unusual and great. 3/5.
