Oh, an MP Trick - equip a magical weapon then go to the inn. Then equip a physical weapon. Your MP will stay the same even though your cap is lowered. :P I think.
A good hint: for your physical units, if you have a magic and physical weapon available, if the difference is small (less than 10-15% of your total attack), equip the magic one. It'll double your MP, which is incredibly useful.
@ddgafd No, I don't, but I expect them to be at least decent at the beginning of the game. Funnily enough, I found the first level the hardest. Once I got the shotgun, then the cannon and vulcan, everything got so much easier. It's just the first weapons and secondaries are pretty useless and it really discourages you when the game is so hard at the first level. The rest are great and action-packed fun but the first is just discouragingly tough.
Hate to complain, but this is really too difficult. I mean, bullet hell games will be bullet hell games, that's fine, but when "died at the first level" is the highest rated comment, you have to realise there's something a little wrong with the difficulty level. The worst part is that it's not just a total skill-based game like Touhou (and even that's easier because the guns are actually good), it's got upgrades... but they DO NOTHING. If you're going to have upgrades and/or equipment, make them have a decent effect on the gameplay and each of them be better than the last, please? I found no difference between the first 4 guns, except that the laser was terrible. Most of the difficulty comes not from the "bullet hell" so much as your bullet sucking. Come on, that's just pretty bad design.
