I've been playing this game for a while, and I really enjoy it. It's one of the few games that I'll come back to play every now and then. Although recently I've been toying with an idea for the game. What if the Swarm were similar to the Zerg, or the Flood? Or a Zerg-like civilization could evolve on a planet, and each new planet they conquered they would keep all of the positive traits (they would only have the new perks on the latest colonized planet, unless they sent a ship back to their old world and shared the new traits), and every time they attacked your H.Q. or destroyed one of your ship they would get a tech boost. There should be an option to make it possible for them to appear, since they'll be pretty challenging, but this is really just for the people like me who've played this for so long that they want the extra challenge.
It is nice idea, thanks! Unfortunately I don't have much time to implement too complex features in this game (since it is not successful at all and already pretty overcomplicated for portal flash game). But I wrote it down, just in case 8) Who knows how things will work out.
I wish I could keep watching after my H.Q. is destroyed (usually by my own creations) and see how the remaining lifeforms manage. Will they be able to colonize the entire galaxy, and perhaps even start seeding planets and collect Biomass just as I did?
Or will they destroy themselves, or be consumed by the Locusts, like some many before them?
"This is the Captain of one of humanity's space fleet. We've been looking for alien life for years now. But we have finally found them, and they DO NOT come in peace. We've had to use all of our resources just fight them off."
"Today we found an ancient alien device protected by automated turrets, but so have they. Whatever it is we can't let them get their hands on it."
*We're FREE!*
2) Or we can transcend our creators and become morally superior to them by killing no one. Life is to valuable to be extinguished, even if they are the creators of evil.
Instead we must imprison them for all eternity by trapping them in The Abyss at the bottom of their home. Unable to leave, or interact with their creations anymore. They will spend eternity together, learning everything about each other until they form a hive mind.
Bound to the bottom of The Abyss.
Thanks for contributing your philosophical musings! I have no idea what the correct/moral choice would be within this story's universe. In fact, I put a lot of effort into trying to make it so that there ISN'T one. Seriously, what could you possibly do within this story's universe that's not evil on at least some level? When I was a kid going to Christian Sunday school, they taught us that we were all sinners, and that nothing we could do would change this, since everything is a sin on some level. Yeah, no kidding...
1) The death of Every God.
It has been shown that the gods are NOT perfect beings, and since all of them are immortal, the chances of them becoming corrupted as their own powers grow, increases (it's only a matter of time). None of them are innocent either. For they are the creators of evil and every evil deed can be traced back to them, making them the sole reason anything bad happens.
But if we go to there world we are STRONGER then they are! We, together we are Legion! And we are the only ones who can Punish them, and undo every evil thing they have ever done.
Even if it means our own death. . . .
After seeing all endings and understanding every characters motives, I have come to the conclusion that the there are only two morally justified options.
Quick Note: The Black Plague killed an estimated of 25 Million people in the course of 5 years. Now the Spanish Flu killed 50 Million in 1 YEAR.
I feel like there should have been a foot note in the game talking about the new & improved plague.
This game deserves 10/5 stars. In the mid 30's level this game blew my mind, I was able to craft a story for all of the events and the epic battles between alien races. I will be playing this game for MONTHS and even after recommend it to every man, women, and child I know.
Interesting that Todd could grow up into Future Todd's world. I wonder what would happen (or if it's even possible) if Todd bought his own earpiece and made a whole new universe inside his own, and THAT universes Todd gets is own, and each fragmented universe spawns their own to the point that it questions Future Todd's existence! . . . I wonder what my cat is doing.
