Protip thou (I finally just beat it), gave sword follow shield and control shield. I got it done second try with this nethod, I don't know why this strategy eluded me for as long as it did

The castle with minion railguns was my favorite combo. Just spam lots of minions for cheap and do tons of missions and fighting at the same time.
