So I looked at a walkthrough and it seems that little guy is supposed to try to follow the thingy and then you can jump. He's not following the thingy.
I don't understand what the energy cost does on the Toad. It says you can jump spaces but all that happens is I lose 10 energy and get the choice to go to the next space I would have gone to anyway. What am I doing wrong?
I just won the game! After all this time playing. Admittedly, I play on easy. I'm not smart enough to ever beat it otherwise. I wish any win would give access to the challenge runs, but maybe if I keep working on it I'll get better. This game is so much fun. Thanks!
I just got all the way to the Kraken. Wow, was that fun. I knew I wasn't going to win but after some days of obsessed playing, I felt like I just really had the combination of understanding how best to use cards, I had good cards, and it all just worked out. So many times I figured I was beat.
I really love this game. The replayability is great. I don't know how many moments of AHA I had, figuring things out as I played.
I just have a question. If a jack follows a ten, it's really not an even card, is it? I guess you mean the value is even. Rats! :) That darn giant scorpion is taking advantage of semantics!
Had to do it this way. Otherwise, J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13, and A = 14 which would make Aces an even card, and a value that isn't 11 (everyone knows Aces are 11 due to Blackjack.)
I just found this old game. I liked it. I couldn't shoot all the darn monsters in the pharmacy. I got frustrated and meant to 'find' comments relating to that in these comments. I accidentally closed my browser. LOST ALL PROGRESS. NO!
I'm never going to get the badge because the final scene is too hard. No way to upgrade just a little more. I read PeteSF's comment and it makes no sense. "meteor smash" says it "stuns" but Pete says use stun then smash. I also don't know what monsters he is talking about or what 'flashing purple' means. I'm too impatient to keep trying until I get lucky enough to get the exact right combo. It's like monkeys on a typewriter. Too bad, I was thoroughly enjoying it until the end.
I really like this game but here's my issue: I'm having a hard time beating the boss in Lvl 15. I'd like to go back and get more money so I can buy higher magic but even if I got the few stars I've missed it's not enough.
Any hints on beating that dude?
