There's another way to fix the game not saving. Right-click on the game then click settings. Change the amount of information chat.kongregate can store to at least 1mb. I say 1mb because currently the amount being stored on my computer is at 209kb and there's no option below 1mb that's above 209kb.
ALSO, it is in fact possible to kill the firebolt in the beginning if you do a new game plus. Not sure about doing it with a level 1 character as it'd be damn near impossible to dodge the bullets that long.
Sorry for double post but the endings are affected by who you talk to in the cafe and how much you talk to them. I think my first playthrough I managed to get all the endings available but I didn't know that I could continue at the final boss to read all the endings.
Toppings, use your thumb to press down the space bar then your other fingers to use Overdrive and change weapons. Not as awkward to change weapons/overdrive when you use your thumb to fire.
I'm on my third playthrough of the game.. When I started playing it had around 500 plays.. Now it's up to 75k. Gotta say that this is not only the best flash game I have played in a long time but also one of the best rpgs I've played in a long while. 5/5. Make a sequel if you have the time. =]
