Its perfectly competent at what it does. There is more depth than I really expected from the game. And yet, it doesn't really appeal to me personally. Hope someone enjoys it though.
Well, it really isn't my cup of tea. I am hardly qualified to judge the genre given my distaste of it. What I can say, is that you did make a good effort to expand, but the fact that levels are started without any sort of confirmation is a touch annoying - especially as if you die in one you can often end up dumped back into another instantly...
You know I played this a week or two after an incredibly stressful day at the theater. I have to give it a lot of credit for being amazingly relaxing. Soothed most of the anger and stress right out of me.
Also - there is some oddity that I can get a better score by killing myself after triggering something - it stays triggered on the next 'life'. Not sure if this is as intended but it really doesn't make much sense.
Well, the idea of the game had me interested but the actual mechanics were a big turnoff. That the 'guards' could see through walls, the simplistic effects, that there is almost no strategy involved are all major flaws. I'd love to see an improved build at some later date (And with a little better grammar in the menus - there should be a plethora of people willing to help check it for you).
Missingno - The actual way to get the Horror to fire and to gain distance from it is to run as close to it as possible while its coming at you. You go past and it has to lose speed to turn. The void eater is vulnerable at any time its charging so you have a good window. Even beyond that if you swing while being sucked in if you are close to the body you can kill it as you are sucked toward it.
The Hazard Suit also negats part of the 'gravity' effect.
