I saw 'rat' and I thought "Okay, fine. Typical RPG thing." I saw 'rabbit' and thought "A rabbit? Okay this is getting weird." I saw 'stray cat' and thought "Oh no..." And then... I reached the end.
When I got to the bridge the second time I honestly didn't expect much. Then I see the adorable little puppy and I thought "No way in hell am I going to do that!". I was happy to see that my virtue was rewarded at the end. Mr. Sailor may not have got the girl, but at least he got himself a little friend. :)
I don't claim to be a brilliant philosopher myself, but I love thinking about and debating things like this. You can imagine then how happy I was to find a game based around that very thing. I love how it is so obviously inspired by Phoenix Wright without being a flat out clone of it. The idea of using philosophy as opposed to investigation and interrogation is great. The characters are all likeable, and the historical ones seem true to themselves while still being funny and entertaining. I'd really love to see more games in this series, and the thing is, I think it could be done. When it comes to philosophy, there's a number of choices out there that could be delved into. Life and death, or the spiritual and divine for instance. You have a good thing going with this game. Please, keep at it because I'm loving this!
One thing I really like about these games is that it doesn't focus solely on survival, but compassion as well. I've played a few games like this, and most of them seem to like to say 'If you're a nice person, you're dead. Compassion and heroism have no place during a zombie outbreak'. I'm glad that this one allows you to be a survivalist while still not sacrificing your humanity.
