Just finished a play through. Great visuals. I really enjoyed the atmosphere created with the music and sounds effects. The opening and ending story clips are a little slow and vague though. I like the idea of a "next" button as proposed by icelord646. Really though, a good game. I enjoyed the ship-of-the-line engagements the most. Hunters were a pain in the neck but I appreciate the skill needed to finish them. I would like to see more upgrades but that didn't affect my rating as I did notice and appreciate each upgrade. Maybe re- think about the reflex chip being automatic and have it manually triggered instead. Solid and enjoyable game after all. Great work, it's something to be proud of.
Loaded the game, got really excited, then started playing. Seriously I want to like this game, it's funny and looks great but the controls are just plain busted.
The production value of this game is fantastic. I enjoyed the story (I dig resistance themes) and the mode shifts. However, balance needs to be tweaked a bit in my non-game designer opinion. Either more enemies with less strength or bump up friendly troop defense. Although I did like watching them get mowed down, so there was a plus. Lastly, I loved the big boss battle at the end. Top notch. The drawbacks (minor really) did not outweigh the obvious effort seen here. 5/5.
It has great potential. There are plenty of balance issues but what really killed my rating was the lack of battle control. Also, the dragons are worthless. He just wanders around like he's baked during the whole battle.
