5/5 just for the music. The game itself is very playable so far, with very simple deduction in place of guesswork. The whole aesthetic is just charming, especially for guys who remember doing puzzles like this with a crayon. The music, though, is just perfectly mellow. I've kept the tab open while doing some typing in another window, and it's just perfect. *Favorited
So, like, no one else got the bit where a Papa's game was the BoTD that got you the "Rick Roll" kongpanion? Do I get extra something for getting that, greg?
Welcome to my exhaustive list of favorite games (all both of them). This is actually more fun than kakuro, which I once thought was the only math-based game I'd ever enjoy. 2-4 is a bit aggravating, granted, but the other modes make this a hands-down favorite. If I were to change anything, it'd be allowing me to pick colors for circles, backgrounds, and such, just because I want to try a Joker-themed set-up.
I'm glad to see this got a BOTD. The puzzles are all very simple, but the variation in them makes the whole play experience worth it. Every puzzle is logical after an experimental click or so, too, so there's no guesswork involved. (The matching key puzzle took me the longest, because I didn't notice the left scroll and sat there squinting at those tiny, tiny key-teeth. )
I came over for the badge of the day, got to the next level (9) and got absolutely stuck. My fingers are just too slow and clumsy to get through those tiny hallways in time. I still gave a 4/5, because the music was cool to leave on while I washed some dishes.
If this is going to receive a badge of the day, there should be another easy badge based on in-game awards. I'm up to 39 of those now, including "Completionist," and I'm guessing I'm just not going to earn the badge. This the first BotD that I've quit because I don't think I could ever earn it. I can appreciate the game-play and design. I like that each species I've encountered has either different shapes or different modes of movement, making it color-blind friendly. I truly enjoy the music; "City Lights at City Night" is a favorite. The biological and award descriptions I've seen are fantastic, and I would congratulate the developer on a fantastic job. (I've already sent the link on to friends who will love it.) Isn't the point of BotD to promote good games? If so, I feel as though the previous BotD accomplished that.
After finishing level 16, you'll get a session conflict alert beside the game. Close out the other window and "Reconnect me" or else the badge doesn't get awarded.
