Yeah clearly influence by the submachine, wihch isn't the worst gamet to be nifluence by... And it's not a problem since puzzles and environmnet are original enough, although the dev could ahve picked another police for the notes...
There's a bug with the Ruffle version. When you put the stone on the wood stick to drain the sand under and open the entry, the stone disappear and the sand isn't drained. Impossible to continue.
Understanding that the very first plot of the game : reaching higher level of consciousness thanks to materialisitc objects and accomplishments is a philosophical nonsense and contradiction to begin with. You reach it in the exact opposite way... Separating and detaching you from all that in a personal way.
This series : nice challenging puzzles, nice atmosphere and graphics... story a little bit too "childish", classic/basic and confuse. (Creator probably not imagining making 10 ep when he first started). Those stories are often the same authors first think about when they wanna make "philosophical" games... wanting to add and mix the same elements and references (not necessarly apprehending them correctly)... Which is why originality, novelty and identity is what make the difference in any artistic creation. "Complicated" not necessarly meaning "smart"... And script-writter and developer are two different jobs... Game making a good job from that perspective so... OK series overall.
Tried a second one of this series, won't try a third... As an puzzle game lover, it contains everything you don't wanna see in a such games. Puzzles, stories, objects that don't make any real sense or have real coherence. There's a reason why high rated puzzle games are...
Why can't some developers make LOGIC games where characters have to use items that are credible and make SENSE being here ? It's not like it was THAT hard... Screwdrivers in code protected boxes, giant ice cube, documents in vents... Hours creating LOGICAL puzzles wrapped in... totally incoherent stories.
"HEY, "elephant in the room", your nice little game is obviously copied on my masterpiece, but I don't care, it's OK... I swear. I just come in another give you a few advice, kid..."
Gotta like the way the submachine creator took the time to comment in an another developer's game section to precise there's "nothing wrong" with this game being influenced by his and it doesn't "infrige" his work"... Of course it doesn't cos your game is also influenced by a lot of other creations... But authors don't come in its comment sections to subtliy (or not so much) make their presence felt... It's not like he couldn't privately talk to "abandoned" creator...
Same in this ep. as in this whole creative series... nice allegoric, metaphysical atmopshere, story and puzzles that could be even more interesting if not for a few unecessary and unexpected pixel hunting (while you look for the same kind of logical answer the game has invited you to find until then)... and ofc the obvious paradoxes time travel (as it's presented here) poses, making all those stories incoherent and easily exposed... There's a reason why, if not for a few comedies or action ones, you don't see any real serious movies or books about it... Authors quickly realize it just can't hold and you create your owns contradictions than even surrealism or esoterism can't hide.
I can understand why rating is not as high as nice graphics and atmopshere could let hope... As many noticed, it quickly becomes not about finding the solution but the time consuming and frustrating and robotic realization of it... Rubixcube style...
It's those kind of problems who make people stay away from certain studios or websites... Why let him online here ? You spend hours playing then BOUM, can't connect anymore and then discover it's been like that for years... Irrespectful for players, you know the ones watching the ads you're making your money with...
Hey, there's a virus transforming most of the population into zombies. Let's kill soldiers trying to contain the virus as they can, and escape with my girl who's been bitten so she can spread the virus everywhere... Hell the world !!
People who can't understand, play or like this game need to reconsider their lives... If you can't understand the semiology and allegory of this game, maybe it's not the game who's stupid... If you can't play it, maybe it's not the game's commands or gameplay who needs to be fixed... and if you still don't like it (special mention to that visibly upset "lanhk" guy)... fine but no need to come here and spread you rage, frustration and insults just because you can't get and don't have it... Go find yourself a more" simple" game with no real meaning... PS: I might be wrong but considering that there's also a reference (and a moving message) to a Pete in "Skinny" from the same author, he might have a son who is or was in that situation...
That scientist who's supposed to follow you visibly wants to die... And he wants to take me with him... Doe ! don't stay under the fire ! And stay the f%$k behind me !
