It would benefit though from some more sounds potentially, even if just variations of the same sounds, perhaps some basic background music or ambience. Dead silence isn't super immersive and makes things feel a bit more tedious. There's also some issue with the interface icons, things like the 'OCD' upgrade or 'Even Mo Items' research have their icons broken, so more playtesting and checking would help with that as it seemed consistent during my time. Also, a maybe personal nitpick, but it is odd to use both numbers and words when describing numerical values. Instead of writing '300 Thousand Ores,' instead just maybe write '300K Ores,' or go all the way with words. People tend to like consistency. Bias aside, this is alright. However, I have to hold back on a rating just for the fact that at the time of writing, you have to go off-site just to make it work and play. As soon as the issue with it not running on Kongregate is fixed, I'll give it a 3.5, maybe a 4 as-is. (2/2)
So, it should be said, I'm not really into idle/clicker games, typically, they're just not for me. However, I'll do my best to keep my personal bias out of the way for a fair review. One of the things you'll notice right away is the aesthetic, from the pixel art style on the stone and background to the interface for upgrades. It's unavoidable that comparison will be made to Cookie Clicker or the like, but I don't think this is a copy of such things. Maybe just tweak the interface a little for upgrades and research, it'll help it stand apart slightly better. The actual aesthetic itself is nice. Visuals are decent apart from showing you most of what it has fairly quick, and sounds are simple, but fitting. Also, though it's not important, I get a smile from the puns or quips that scroll along the screen. (Part 1)
This is alright. Honestly, there's not much to say, it's a fairly basic, really easy puzzle game. Mind you, that's fine, nothing wrong with an easier game. That being said, it feels a lot like some very basic thing you'd find and play on a phone as a kid. Even the levels I didn't personally beat in ten seconds only took 15 - 20, if that. There's easy, but a little more challenge and depths for puzzles might be nice. This is the kind of game you play once and beat in maybe 20 minutes, tops, then never really think about. Not very memorable despite being otherwise okay.
I'd rate it roughly a 2.5/5, maybe close to a 3/5 as-is.
By all rights, I can't give this more than a single star, and I wish I could give it less. We've seen tons and tons of idle games, many of which actually put in some effort to do something unique to stand apart or at least have some kind of charm, maybe in their art style, or just an absurd premise, but all of them at least released in a state I could call finished, and future add-ons just added to a complete game. Calling this game finished would be a bit too high praise, it feels more like a proof of concept than anything. It's frankly ugly, it's tedious and dull, things just aren't explained well at all beyond the bare minimum, and I couldn't play more than an hour before I couldn't take anymore, and I like to think I have good patience for games and try to give them all the best chance.
Don't play this game, just don't. So many better games have come out since the first major idle type games came onto the scene that are more worth your time.
So after some digging, I did find that a lot of this isn't really a lot of the developer's work, or doesn't seem to be. In fact, the majority of it outside of the menus and title cards put up seem to be ripped straight from a Unity asset game called Hammer 2. I don't want to outright say the person who uploaded this is an asset flipper who did little in the way of work, but it doesn't seem like much was changed or done, but feel free to correct me, I'm open to listening.
