This game needs some finishing it seems like. Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay, smooth controls... all great. But the monsters need rebalancing for difficultly, especially the giant ones which are WAY too easy (what a let-down) and the guns are really different enough that it's worth buying the big ones (the boomstick is worthless! shouldn't it fire grenades or something?), the fort doesn't get damaged and not being able to shoot out of it is lame.... I think it should just decrease accuracy, and draw the monsters right to it thus causing it to get destroyed, the traps are over-powered for their prices. Overall, a great game that just needs a bit more polishing. Oh yeah, and the balloon repairs too quickly. Why allow the player to escape long before they've bought the best stuff and fought the hardest monsters?
I really like this game, but the clicking to select stars is painfully laggy and frustrating. If you could somehow optimize the star selection (as Demoknis also said) it would improve the game a lot. Also, mine stars are pretty lame. Other than that, great game. I gave it five stars and look forward to the sequel.
The end tanks need to be better balanced, and there needs to be a way to discard an upgrade choice other than starting over. Also, the shield ability is so hard to use its nearly useless. The mines ARE useless.
Overall, I quite like it. But it gets boring being stuck as a tank you've already leveled past because the next one you chose sucked, and then you can't make it to the one after that to fix the problem.
I just beat Manifold, then found this. It's great. I've only started trying, and it's quite a challenge, just what an action-puzzle game should be. Innovative, fast, fun, and increasingly difficult. 5/5
I would love to see more special units, like the giant trolls. How about giant tigers for night elves, and giant walking trees for wood elves, catapults for men of the west, undead dragons....
