Yep, the clocks and timers seem to go way slower than they should, even when the game is the only tab. Getting lvl 10k on rat dude looks like an impossible task, other aspects of the game stand still as well.
Synergies are nice but there are nearly no places where to boost magic, fortune telling and summoning training - to mention the more rare yet important skills.
The update is fantastic, finally open up the game even more but the lack of offline gains hurts atm. Yes, I do have all my time/callendar thingies correctly set up.
@LordMephisto Halls begin to fall behind Gates and Portals quite fast and after 200+ buildings their cost/production is horrible. Lower tier buildings are cheap so you can both reach 100 quickly to get assistants and buy a ton of them to boost Call to Arms. They always stay relevant, even if only for small bonuses. And then come the misunderstood Fairies, probably the most fun and powerful faction once you learn to appreciate them. Farms, Inns and Blacksmiths rule ;)
The max mana cut in half makes the game much less enjoyable for active players (no Call + Frenzy + Hellfire combos - a bit op but a ton of fun and a play style choice) as well as idle ones (less time between mana slurging visits) and balances or benefits what or who?
Some offline gains would make sense for this game more than other idlers. Does my kingdom shift out of existence when I stop looking? Otherwise a magnificent start of a possibly very captivating game, love the choices and the smart reuse of genre staples.
Ouch, monk 3 fights short of finishing Naxx and unlocking heirlooms cannot be selected nor restored :/ No idea what happened, had to restart the pc but I saved manually beforehand. So much grinding...
'Forced reloads due to errors in the Arena no longer are counted as losses and disrupt player progress
Manual refresh of the browser does count as a loss'. Ok, makes sense but battle won and game freezes, actually forcing a manual reload and snapping a decent winning streak is infuriating.
Still insisting on automatic defeat due to browser reload? When 100% of reloading takes place after a bug or magical loss of connection? Come on... Way too much energy wasted on this silly thing, in game and real life. Yeah, I whine a lot because I care as much.
Counting refreshing as an automatic defeat is a horrible idea in general (if you're going to lose a battle, no amount of refreshing will help plus you lose stamina anyway) but especially when the game freezez and forces refreshes due to bugs additionally snapping streaks and losing stamina and joy along the way. It adds nothing but detracts from the fun factor a lot. After being forced to refresh during 49th battle for the third time and losing everything, I don't feel like buying next champion somehow.
Sorry, had to deal with medical issues. Haven't been able to code much. I'll hopefully get back into updating past games soon.
