I'll give it a 4/5 because I think it was awesome at making me feeling embarrassed by the enormous weight I put on the upgrade systems in a game.
And the good ending was awesome :P
On the other hand, I don't think I should give it 5/5 because it has too little focus on the actual game in there.
Due to the insane popularity given to any game that resembles a sniper, I think it's about time someone made a parody. Congratulations, you even did a good job on it ;)
There were tthree things that could've been improved, though:
1.) Length of the game (the nine missions are over too quickly :( )
2.) The puzzle-part (too few missions were you have to shoot something else first to hit the target)
3.) Except for the clip size and wooden stock-upgrades, I didn't really notice the effect of any of the other upgrades. Please make it either clear how something will help you (what did the scope do? Read the description, but didn't notice anything...) or make the effect big enough to notice.
Hapax: you just didn't look at the hints in the beginning, did you? You can change the settings on your characters during combat. Among other things, you can set them to "reckless" (far right, red button) to make them always attack, and always target the enemy with lowest HP. If someone gets a shield on, they'll only attack that one if the total of the shield and the health of the enemy is lower than the 2nd lowest hp enemy.
And for God's sake: don't complain that charged blood, acidic blood, overdrive, hot-blooded or someof the other PASSIVE skills don't show up in your ability pool. They're passive, and as you'd know if you read the hints: they're always on. If you want to know what attributes and piercing does, click "game manual" after choosing language and loading the game.
Bufar: tenacity is a passive ability. If you read the description, and saw the short text about passive abilities, you'd know that tenacity is always turned on during combat and isnt added to your ability pool
Against the Baron: attack his focus instead of his HP and stay alive.
Zarovich: you start in a random location. If you start in Madagascar, then you'll have serious problems spreading to the rest of the world, although if you're going for the ultimate relaxation badge, I guess it's ok...
Supreme Cthulhu Dude! You just completed the Supreme Cthulhu achievement in The Necronomicon and won the Supreme Cthulhu badge and 30 points!
There's no way I'm gonna go for the impossible badge....this game is too time-consuming.
I gave it 3/5. It's an OK game, but it's really not that good, and I wouldn't have plasyed it if not for the badges.
16 is easy. Start off with clicking 4 ducks in a diagonal line from 1 corner to another, then click the ducks next to the 2 corners that haven't turned in the right direction.
I FINALLY got all the numbers for the code, and I enter the final area with a certain expectation (the "this is it"-feeling was very strong in me). I walk over to the last room, and stuff happens. After that, I get an achievement for completing the game, and I unlock a secret character. It's Mel Gibson. If the rest of the game hadn't OwNeD, that alone would've made it jump down a couple of stars from 5/5.
I FINALLY got the entire code & stuff, and all I get is MEL GIBSON for a secret character!? WTF!?
Other than that, I give you 5/5 for one of the best platformers I've ever played. (the game really rocks....it even outweighs Mel Gibson as a secret char!)
