Here is a very very useful hint for everyone. You should always search places for supplys so you can get food and stat boosting items. This works especially well on the harder difficulties.
There needs to be a feature were you can spawn a previously selected item in the left menu, because it gets annoying to have to spawn gas tanks/ other fun(not on your keyboard) items by getting them from the menu
