There's absolutely nothing wrong with the game in terms of the jump mechanic. I've had to do 3 or 4 quick jumps in succession, and I'm sure you can too. Either your reflexes need work or your jump keys are broken/not working right.
This an addition to my previous comment: the only bones I have to pick with this game is the need of a restart button for these minigames. It's annoying to have to sit through a game if you know you've failed
1. This game is actually quite fun. If you've never heard of the concept of rally racing you need to watch some TV or something.
2. Stop saying the game sucks. Yes, it could use some more depth in terms of upgrades, but there could always be a sequel, haters.
