FYI, after you unlock the additional upgrades, there are no further unlocks even if you max them out. --- Also, survival mode you can retry levels as long as you don't exit.
This game is STILL a visual tour-de-force. Mobile games like Monument Valley are getting tons of press, but the design elements were right here 5 years ago.
Fun, but I really wish I could use the arrow keys. Also, would be nice if you got achievements or something with the deaths so that there was some form of progression between plays.
After you've upgraded things a bunch, you will generate more souls by selling some of your life stat so that they die sooner. My max level so far is 75
I'm not sure how many levels I was able to complete, but after a while (20 or so) I got stuck in a loop of 3-4 levels where I kept playing the same ones repeatedly
Game is really fun. Upgrade lasers first. Once you get support calls, the game gets really simple, frankly. Combined with shields, you just annihilate every boss.
Notably, it is possible to die and win at the same time, which prevents you from getting the upgrade.
Critical (agility) is a bit overpowered. Using a bow I'm easily hitting for 40k almost every shot, and with "The Stein" character who gets +crit with regen skill, it's nonstop. I'm killing bosses in 1-2 hits
Final Boss setup---Needlessly Hot Pot Suit || 3x Final Tech Protectors || 3x Final Shoulders, 2x Final Armors, 1 glove, 1 undersuit, 1 boot || Two healing hearts. (1) Basically, just dodge and weave, waiting for the eyes to open and firing the appropriate cannon when the eye is open. (2) Try and wait until the last minute to trigger the shield, this gives you a few seconds of protection from the bullets. (3) Your bullets do nothing at all. Use your special to protect yourself, and use the cannons to deal the damage. The rest of the time, bob and weave like you're Mike Tyson
Upgrade progression is too slow. 10->100 is tolerable due to the 5 star items but up to 200 becomes too difficult given the drastic increase in flying enemies. The progression seems based on arbitrary numbers vs actual playthroughs.
Really fun to play though. Classic 'Drug wars" style game with some fun extras
Some suggestions:
The windows that pop up for the bank or purchasing should be able to be closed by clicking outside of them. Having to click the close button each time is a hassle.
the game have been actualized, now just click the screen to restar level :D
