The blight mechanic needs a serious rework. First off, it says blight "stays there until you finish the floor", yet there's always blight left over from some floors in gauntlet, increasing the rng and difficulty even more. Every time I get to floor 6 or 7 I end up with 80% of the board having 5-7 blight dmg making it next to impossible.
I feel like blight should disappear after a turn or two after that specific blight tile spawns, or it shouldn't be allowed to stack on itself. Having both mechanics in play as well as carrying over to other floors, takes away most if not all skill and makes you rely too heavily on rng.
The hotbar isn't very intuitive... What it should do is whatever I set to each number should always stay as that number. What happens instead, for example, is that I'll set the lantern to 1 and the bow to 2. If I press 1, it equips the lantern. If I then press 2 with the lantern still out, it equips the bow but sets the bow to 1 and lantern to 2. It's gets confusing and aggravating when you start using 6 hot keys at a time.
A lot of players like this, as it lets them switch equipment sets using less hotkeys, but you can turn it off by going into options -> gameplay options and unselect switch equipment hotkeys - then it will function like you describe.
One problem I encountered, when starting the relaxing puzzles; Every 10 levels it would show a small tutorial, when exiting that tutorial it would auto switch you back to the regular levels again. So if you finished level 19 on relaxing it would bring you back to 20 on normal. Not much of a set back, but I didn't realize at first and did another 10 levels that way before realizing my badge counter wasn't going up.
The game overall is fun and not too overly difficult. But in the last few sieges of a campaign, the enemy gets way too many of those war horn reinforcement things, especially since we don't get anything like that.. Even if 2 or 3 full blown armies from that war horn (going over the unit limits that we normally have) gather together and rush your base. It's impossible to defend against and is in no way fair :/
Great game but I encountered a glitch where the ghosts possessed my units then ran off screen to the right and never came back, leaving me stuck on the last wave.
I'm giving this a 3/5 for 2 specific reasons; first, on heroic difficulty they add a time limit to your turns. This wouldn't be a problem if you were allowed to change your AI's behavior either while enemies are talking or during both your own turn and the enemies turn. The fact that I'm rushed to change both options and sometimes missing my turn b/c I don't have time to do all three is seriously annoying. Second, since we can't look at change or control the AI's abilities, there should at least be some way to see exactly what they do (and on that note there should be a permanent behavior setting outside of battle b/c having it reset after every fight gets irritating).
Yes, It is a valid point.
