Lost my progress too :( tab unexpectedly closed and reloaded, maybe you only have it to save on exit? Change it to save at intervals and maybe that will help. End of playing for me though, good luck
It appears that Oil Rig and Clothes don't carry on producing with the tab closed. Not sure on any others but some stuff clearly did as my money went up but stuff like oil held and clothes held did not
To clarify though, an amazing game :) very well done, just thought i'd offer improvements because if you can fix some of these things it's definitely one of the best idle games on the site
The balance is also still off unfortunately, you can either change the multipliers again or simply move certain businesses around but some later businesses are definitely not as profitable as earlier businesses as well as costing a lot more to set up. For example, I've just bought all upgrades on my first run through and this is what I have: Hotel 114M,Swimming Pool 113M, Orchard 4.59B, Indie Games Developer 1.12B, Gold Mine 5.72B, Music Studio 2.12B, Disco 2.83B, Clothes Factory 93.65B, Oil Company 47.54B. Now the oil is still building profit and will overtake the clothes factory easily but in general you can see the imbalance I hope? Not only the lack of an increasing gradient but also the investment costs go up much higher than the profit returns and the massive jump when you hit clothes factory.
I know you responded to people saying it's because they aren't playing the latest version but I've literally only started playing and I can confirm that oil rig production upgrade doesn't affect anything, only the level of the individual oil rigs do.

The tab is never closed, just out of view so yeah, it does the same when you don't see it.
