This doesn't really feel satisfying for me. the Math part is simple but the hard part is figuring out how to use the different numbers and also fill the boxes, which feels more like fighting the game than solving a puzzle
Max defense, get all gear put towards defenses, get mana regen, the little amount of damage you take gets healed with the spell. I jumped from floor 20 to 80 as soon as I got that working. its been a few hours and i still havent had to leave the dungeon
this game turns into a massive grind on city 4... i actually enjoyed the first 2 cities and then city 4 just ruined it... my beasts already blow through all competiton, the game isnt challenging, but i'm unable to advance to more difficult enemies because of these brutally slow quests. (over 50 days of travelling just to get badge 4...)
the 8 day distance between city 3 and 4 make this game actually take hours longer than it should... I've been back and forth across there like 8 times already
The explosive barrels are so small... Their explosion is barely bigger than the object itself. For a one time use thing i'd hoped it would at least hit something... Luring the enemies close enough for the tiny explosion to hit is way too hard since they have to be rubbing against it to get hit.
I've got a crusader idea for you! A tank class crusader who has higher than normal HP and a skill which gives him damage resistance based on the DPS of the crusaders in the column behind him. TheirDPS/TotalDPS +20% or so would be his damage resistance.
Having a tank class would promote diversity in formation planning and even add another element to work with. Currently all of the crusaders are two-dimensional, either adding to DPS or adding to Gold gain. There aren't any defensive crusaders that actually provide a viable strategy. Fire Pheonix's 'Vengeful Fury' and Thalia's 'Lightning Rod' aren't enough to actually count for anything and Dark Gryphon's 'Under My Wing' on it's own doesn't keep anyone alive enough to change the outcome of a fight. 'Under My Wing' combined with this tank Crusader could provide a stable front to a formation, enough to stall till the DPS take out a boss, creating a viable defensive strategy.
Maybe add some base regeneration to the heros. It's kind of annoying to have the front man slowly chipped away at until the formation falls apart and is pushed back a zone
Khouri's Frog Soup heals whomever is in the row in front of him. As well, if you're near the computer, you can always toss in Merci and use his Alchemy to heal your whole party. Or if you have the gold, you can level up the hurt Crusader and that heals them.
I'd be interested in different formation shapes. Instead of the 4-3-2-1 formation maybe something like 2-2-3-3 for a forward heavy formation or maybe 2-2-2-4 or 1-4-4-1 . Something to play around with
after a while I'd kinda want an option to turn off my own bullets. maybe it's my inexperience with bullet hell games but I found my own bullets were the most distracting thing on the screen.
I cant unhook my angle lock... i shift clicked on everything and nothing unhooked... this game sucks when you cant experiment making cars without a 50% penalty to everything you sell and rebuy
I would love to see a full version of the game, where the level gradually changes with different backgrounds and platforms instead of the generic level select screen
looks like a great physics puzzle game, ill have to come back on a different machine though, apparently my quad core 3 ghz processor cant handle a flash game
Thank you for the well-thought out suggestion. I've added it to our list to consider. =)
