As I was playing this, I thought it was talking about parents of today's society. I thought it was like parents always wanting their children to obey and be perfect people, when we are, in fact, not. It was like playing as a kid who's starting to grow up and lead their own life. They were always being told what to do, but that's not what they wanted to do. They could follow their parent's rules and have their life defined, but it would be boring. They could disobey their parents and have an amazing, colorful life, but it would also be much riskier to venture through. The endings somewhat confirmed my thoughts as I was playing, no matter what ending you got. Both endings are about parents acknowledging the fact that their children have grown up, but in the first ending, it’s more of a somber feeling. In the first ending, they didn’t want their kid to grow up. In the other ending, the parents are proud of their child and feel like they have done a good job as parents.
