I enjoyed the game, and the music too! I made up zombie-related lyrics to sing to it the entire time I was playing. Why I'm admitting this, I don't know.
I don't understand all the people saying "wtf guyz its just a flash game" as if flash games can't ever be worth money. Honestly I prefer spending a (small) flat price than playing a "free" game with a ton of premium purchases in it.
When I started playing, I misaligned my hand on the keyboard and kept mashing "z" furiously, wondering why nothing was happening. But anyway, it was fun when my brain started working. Nice work!
Why are you replying sarcastically and "lol"ing at people asking for a female character? Contrary to what you assumed in one reply, I do realize it would take a lot of work. I would hope people appreciate the hard work it takes for one person to make an in-depth game. It was just a suggestion/request for Chapter 2, since you've been very open to them (which is awesome).
Sorry, I've just seen about 100 replies asking the same exact thing, and its never "please put them in the next one since ch1 is popular".. it's almost always "omg why no female/black?? u think only white males play???" which has started to get a little old :P
I would love to be able to play as a female character, as I'm female and it helps me identify with them more. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice! You've made an awesome game, but it is very rudely distracting me from Skyrim. :)
Right now this is a 4/5 for me; great concept, nice graphics and music. If some of the suggestions were added (like new tree types and skills trees), it would definitely be a 5/5. It might be nice to have more spells, which the player can choose from to assign to the 5 slots.
This is the second game I ever played on this site. Still one of my favorites. I just noticed I never even got the hard badge, and since my save file was deleted, I have an excuse to play this all over again!
I like the look and basic concept of this game a lot. Putting heroes into different towers and having a spellbook is great. I'm a sucker for games with skill trees, but as some of the top comments say, the skills are pretty repetitive. Many of the levels dragged on, even with fast forward. Overall a nice game with some annoying flaws and a lot of potential.
Love the music, love the theme, love the atmosphere. In some games, I like to see more difficulty, but in this one, I enjoyed having to put some thought into the levels without wanting to hurl my laptop out the window in frustration. The storyline made me happy, and also made me want to cry a little. 5/5
HackAR: It's a game about medieval surgery. It's pretty much disgusting by definition, and being bloody is a given. I don't see how that detracts from the game. Anyway, for some reason I'm horrible at the parts where you have to hit hard with the hammer. The rest is relatively easy, and fun.
What's sad is that most people are calling this a ripoff of FFTA, when the original FFT was the far superior game. :p Really though, I agree with WreKed1. Who cares if it's the same genre as FFT? "Ripoff" is as annoyingly overused as "sellout."
I like this game so far, aside from the overpriced inns. Grandpa's a traitor for not letting me rest at his house anymore.
Forgot to mention that everyone except one has over 100% damage reflection, and that plus a lot of added poison is doing a good job of helping to kill monsters before my turns even come up.
On level 23 now with my mage/ranger/warrior/barbarian party, and they're still doing extremely well luckily! I'm fighting legendaries over and over for items, and I still don't hurt from lack of healing. Things die too quickly. Just got Minotaur's Axe and my barb's damage is awesome now. :) Frostguard: I do plan to try with Rogue next time, probably with an entirely new setup to experiment with.
This is by far my favorite game on this site so far. I'm pretty new to the game, only on dungeon level 11 right now, and in fact trying to catch up to my boyfriend who suddenly surpassed me when I had to work, but it's definitely addictive. My party is a Warrior, Barbarian, Mage, and Ranger. My boyfriend uses a Cleric, and while I do sometimes wish I had his healing/revival spells, my party's raw damage potential seems to be outclassing his and I'm able to kill fast enough for the extra healing to be unnecessary. My warrior mainly uses Execute or Cleave, while my Barbarian's charge can often one-shot enemies. My Ranger has her 10% instant kill attack with high damage, and the healing spells, and the Mage usually uses Freeze if I need the stun, or Electrical Storm to hurt everyone. Maybe I'll be totally screwed in a few levels, but for now it's working out well.
