Up to day 103 casual so far and haven't had to use a henchman or a re-try. Noble with max bowmaster using a bowgun with autofire mod (better dps and higher dmg vs armor), duelist with laser pistol (not attacking air), militia with gravity gun (not attacking air so the globe stays horizontal), and sheriff with auto shotgun and cripple shot (knocks back and slows a wide group, set to not attack armor). All I'm investing in at this point is the villa. Getting +130% dmg right now. Max sandbags, storage and smithy. Taunt was the best moneymaker early on, but throwing parties is more important at this point. I don't bother upgrading guns. Too costly. I just wait until a higher lvl one goes for sale or drops and I save the mods I want to use. Extra storage makes it easy to save. Lvl 1 autofire on bowgun makes it better than a rapid bowgun.
The auto shotgun is good for a sheriff npc that has cripple shot. When the screen gets crowded, all the enemies getting hit by the large spray will be knocked back and slowed down.
