You can pretty much softlock yourself by selling all of your gear to buy expensive things, selling those, until all items in the shop are too expensive to buy. For some reason, the hats disappeared from the store, and all the weapons were unobtainable. At this point, you get no gold from levels as your shorties die instantly at the start of every level.
Thanks for the comment. That is one of the reasons I'm hesitating to add a sell producer feature. You could manoeuvre yourself in a dead end. As it is right now, you must buy a potion production unit at the beginning.
