@Solomon, I am having the same problem, however, I am able to pause and go to the shop menu. I have only been able to progress past this point once. Currently, I am driving the best vehicle that money can buy.
Suggestions: 1) Score in the corner. 2) Consequence for failing to catch an egg. 3) Because you created a 2-D game in 3-D space, eggs occasionally are uncatchable. 4) Higher difficulties. 5) Different kinds of eggs. 6) A more interactive animation when you catch an egg in the bucket. 7) Various environments.
Entered as encountered: 1) The controls are a bit awkward to those used to wasd. 2) In scene one, I do not think it is possible to successfully recover the treasure and leave the scene. 3) In the world of gaming, ‘Action’ is synonymous with ‘interact’ and therefor led me to attack the poor village people in scene two. 4) In scene two I accidentally walked of the side of the screen to my death. 5) After completing scene two, being sent back to the start menu and selecting ‘start game’, I can view scene one but without the protagonist. Suggestions: 1) Give the player some spare change so that we can buy items at the store. 2) Double jump maybe? 3) In game explanation of controls and basic properties (i.e. save shrines, health bar, ect.) . 4) Hold down ‘Action’ button instead of spamming. Currently, the game has attractive artwork and solid (however very simple) combat controls. Good basis for a strong game so long as the rpg elements and story quality can support the game.
Hard mode is hard! No false advertising here. You think the maze level is hideous on normal mode? (insane laughter). Seriously though, fun game that shows simplicity is sometimes superior. All it takes is imaginative level design and an ability to create real challenge. 5/5
Protip: Armor upgrades fully heal your character in addition to increasing the cap health. This makes it easier to cart around a divine blade for when the dragon rolls around the corner. To improve the game itself, some feeling of progression would make the game have more longevity for the player. Also, please allow the use of potions outside of battle.
good start, try turning into some kind of scenario. Perhaps add unlockable cake bits. Maybe you could be the master cake chef at some restaurant (idk.) Im not going to rate this simply because it isn't quite a game yet :).
To do list: More interesting artwork, multiple levels, different difficulties, and maybe a upgrade list. If you do these things, you're set. Don't forget music that can be optionally muted.
Nice artwork, ok music. Story may need a little work. Having a commander on the battlefield is a somewhat original idea; however, it has been done before (epic war). The combat is a little easy dispite having no explaination. Features you may want to add: Upgrade menu, travel map, and multiple difficulties. With a little bit of tweaking this game could be popular. 3/5
Thank you for your collaboration, I will work on it the next time I have some free time!
